DandyCase proudly presents the Ultimate Waterproof Case for iPhone 4, 4S (and other similar sized smartphones including iPod Touch 2/3/4), allowing you to submerge your device up to 100 feet deep without worrying about water damage and lets you do things with your device that will make your friends jealous! It will not fit the larger smartphones, such as the Samsung Galaxy series and other models with diagonal screen sizes above 4" (the side of the iPhone 4S). You'll be able to take stunning underwater photos & videos (Photo App must be open before going under water in order to work due to the pressure). This waterproof case is IPX8 Certified to 100 feet (30m). With a secure "2 Snap Lock System," your device will be secure all day whether you are swimming, relaxing on the beach, boating, or drinking near water. The case has 2 clear sides so you can still use the picture taking & video recording capabilities of your device without worrying about potential damage. A neck lanyard it included. Sealed DandyCase Retail Packaging so it's perfect for a gift! Made of a durable plastic top with a clear "bag-like pouch" front and crystal clear back, allowing for optimal use of the touchscreen, photos, and videos!

Worked Great
Just to clear up some confusion in other reviews, the DandyCase DOES have a window in the back for the camera. I think the problem people are having is that if you put your iPhone 4S in the case the way it shows in the picture, the window is too low for the camera. You have to put your phone in "upside down" from what the picture shows. Then the camera lens sits well inside the window.I used this case with my iPhone 4S on a recent trip to the bahamas. I used it in the pool, on the waterslide, in the rain and best of all, while snorkeling. It worked great. No leaks or moisture whatsoever, despite swimming for an hour with a few dives down 4+ feet in saltwater. I got some great videos. The only thing to note, the touch screen doesn't work under water so you can't take under water stills. Start the video camera, then take it under water, bring it back out of the water to turn it off. I don't know if this is unique to the DandyCase. I'm guessing it's not. It's really easy to put your phone in and take it out. I used it on and off all vacation long.

PHEW! I got one with 2 clear sides
I was hesitant to order this because of the reviews complaining that they got 1 clear side / 1 black side. Well, I was lucky enough to receive the one with 2 clear sides as is described in the description.I bought this so I can take my iPhone with me when I go kayaking. So it is more for 'splashing proof' then 'water proof'. I wont be dunking this in the water....unless I fall in of course! ESHK!So I think this case will work just fine for my purposes. The product opens and closes pretty easily and the phone fits inside very snug with my case on. A little bit too snug, but at least I can keep my case on. It probably fits better without the case. Your choice.I gave this product 4 stars because I have to place my phone in the case upside down if I plan to take pictures with it. The border around the clear window blocks the camera when the phone is placed inside, right side up. It would have been nice if they gave you the option to flip the lanyard hole around to the bottom side, but they do not. That would have fixed this problem.Speaking of the lanyard hole, it is really small. I have other lanyard straps I would like to use with this but they will not fit into this hole because it is too small. I dont see why they did not make it bigger..??Hope this helps!

It works!
It works! I was very hesitant using this case, because some reviewers said it doesn't work, but I submerged it completely under water several times, and even took a few videos, and it was fine. There are a few problems with using it under water, but those are mostly related to the iphone and it being under water not the case, I think - you CAN operate your phone while it's in the case, but when it's above the water, under the water, especially if the water is not that warm to begin with, the iphone does not recognize the touch (if your fingers get too cold), also, you can't see very clearly what you're taking picture of, so you're shooting blindly, but then that's probably the case with any under water camera (I don't know, I haven't tried any others). And finally, when used above the water, the pictures have a hint of blueish hue to them. On the other hand, given how thick the plastic is, I'm amazed at how sharp the photos are. So overall, I'm glad I bought this case. We can finally take pictures when we're going to the pool or to the beach. The lanyard is a nice touch, since it keeps the phone from sinking to the ground.

So Far So Good
I bought this because i'm leaving to go on a cruise soon and really wanted to take some underwater pics, plus i wanted to protect my phone just in case i drop it in the pool or in worst case the ship starts to sink i'll at least be able to play angry birds while i float in the ocean. LOL but all jokes aside, this case/bag thing works great.I used the old paper towel test. I stuck a few paper towel inside, dropped it in a sink full of H2O and even placed a gallon jug on top of it for about 4 to 5 hours. Nothing Happened!I will say though it has a weakness. The plastic clips are somewhat easy to move and it is possible that it could hit something while your underwater and unseal the bag. So you do need to be careful. Its also not for rugged use either. you can't beat it around and bash and smash it. Its really just go a day at the beach or something. i wouldn't recommend taking this on a whitewater rapids. if your going to do that get a otterbox or something.

Didn't Fit Skyrocket
DandyCase White Waterproof Case / B0058NXWPYIn the time since I bought and returned this, I think the description has already changed a couple of times, so I'm going to leave a note here that this case does NOT fit the Samsung Skyrocket phone (it's way too small/short for the phone to fit).I'm also not a big fan of the enclosure process with these DandyCases. I'm used to the "two ziplocs plus folding plus buttons" model for my tablets. With these DandyCases, you have to thumb these physical locks open (and they're kind of fiddly about opening and closing), and then the hard top splits into two and you have to maneuver the phone into the case between them through an opening that is narrower than the sleeve itself (presumably to cut down on potential openings for the water to get in). I use a TrendyDigital case with my tablet in the bathtub on a nightly basis, so I'm not a novice at this, but the DandyCase method just seems way more cumbersome than I personally like. For the record, I ended up going with theĀ Patuoxun Waterproof Case , which both fits my Skyrocket and uses the zipper+button model.~ Ana Mardoll
