Very happy with this bag!
I just received this, and am so very pleased with the look, which can be so tricky when buying online. I bought the "Black (Black Leaf C)" design, which is the black and white pattern above and below, with the black leaf pattern in the middle, and it's exactly what I hoped for. I think it looks very stylish, and though I worried a lot that the size might be too big or clunky-looking, it's just right for what I wanted. As a visualization for those who, like me, sometimes find it hard to picture just from measurements: take a standard size bedroom pillow case and fold it in half from left to right (so the opening is along one side, not at the top), then fold the top down about a third (slightly more, really). That is roughly the size of the bag part, not including straps. Here are some others details that might help those trying to decide:1) I was worried that the top zipper would prevent this, but I can fit my 15" MacBook (31.5 x 22 cm) into this bag if I want to -- yay!2) I can fit my Kindle Voyage with cover into the front-of-the-bag outside zippered part, but it's a struggle. If you want to be able to easily slip it in and out without going into the bag, it's not really going to work. You'll need to jiggle and twist it around to make it fit in or pull it out. It will very easily fit into the big inside zippered pocket though. (My Kindle Paperwhite will not fit in the front section at all.)3) The description on this page is confusing because it mentions both the furry monkey key ring, and the 2D monkey key charm. The one I got did not have the furry monkey, which I didn't want, so no problem there for me. It does have the hard plastic flat monkey as shown in the photo for my bag.4) The bag is really light! 307 grams on my kitchen scale. I definitely wanted a lightweight but sturdy and attractive bag that didn't look cheap, and this definitely seems to be it.5) The inside is lined with a light, wipeable polyester material that looks like it will be hard-wearing and avoid the soiling and small holes you can get with fabric linings. The lining is sewn into the bottom along the edges, so you cannot turn it out for cleaning, but you can easily turn the entire bag inside out to take care of any mess.6) Only time will tell, but the top zipper (an eventual failure point for so many bags!) looks quite strong and durable. A nice touch is that the end of the zipper tape extends past the top of the bag with a small leather (or "leather") end bit that you can hold onto with one hand to easily pull the zipper closed with the other, and there's also a sturdy zipper pull on the slider. All of the stitching everywhere on the bag looks strong and even. This is my second Kipling bag, and I will be very happy if it wears as well as my first one has.7) The adjustable canvas strap is 3 cm (about 1 and a quarter inches) wide. With the strap completely doubled you can easily wear it on your shoulder, even with a coat. On me (average height) at this length, which is the shortest you can make it, the top of the bag falls just under the breast area, and it's very comfortable / natural to hook my thumb on the strap where it meets the bag. If you like your bags to fall shorter, so they come up just under the arm, you'll probably need to have the straps shortened if you don't want to wear it crossbody.8) There is a handy sewn-in key clasp on the inside that is about 6.5 inches long, located conveniently on the side near the top of the bag, made from the same nylon material as the bag (on mine, the middle black leaf part), with a clip on the end to easily attach and detach your key ring. The design means that your keys end up sitting on the bottom of the bag (so they're not pulling the lining material down with their weight, or stressing the stitching), yet your fingers can easily find the top of the key attachment and pull them up, even without looking. This is a well designed feature you will appreciate if you always seem to scrabble for your keys in your bag, no matter how carefully you try to locate them.9) Because it doesn't have partition sections inside, you may need one or two smaller bags to organize things like cosmetics and small items.I'm very, very happy with it, so far. (Will update if there's any change.) My only disappointment is that coming back to write my review, I find it selling for £10 less than I paid!

beautiful, classy, vibrant ....
Kipling Women's Dalila Shoulder Bag is one excellent bag which I love for a number of reasons first of all the size is simply wonderful, I am able to wear it as a crossbody bag which allows me to have both arms free(very important when shopping!!). The bag is big and spacious inside and I can easily slip in my IPad easily and my kindle if needed. Even add a book or two if I wanted. The main closing is a zip which is the full length of the top of the bag which actually is the opening, this makes it very easy to fit anything in or even. I like how the whole top of the bag opens wide which allows me to see inside easily and quickly. There is also a drawstring closure which allows me to close it quickly and I actually zip it then close the drawstring which helps me feel more secure when out and about, as a lot of big cities we are troubled with pick-pockets but with the double closing I feel it gives me a bit of added security as they usually would pick on bags which are easy to open but with this one the double closure would hopefully give them too much resistance. The colour is beautiful, I got the multicolour funky flower which I love and have received many compliments about the whole look and feel of the bag, plus the small plastic monkey which is different from the usual furry monkey but very classy in it's own way.The quality of this bag is first class, the material is off the high quality I always expect from Kipling plus the added advantage of it being easy to clean which is especially important with young children. I like the fact the bag when emptied can be stored easily as it can be stored flat which takes up little room.I am happy to recommend this Kipling Women's Dalila Shoulder bag as it is first class in looks and functionality.

Brilliant bag
Love this bag , I like that it doesn't look like a traditional Kipling bag, with lots of different pockets. This has a roomy bucket bag compartment which can fit a4 pads in sideways comfortably . Then all the internal pockets and fixtures you would expect from Kipling including the pen holder, key chain and mobile phone holder. At the front there is also another pocket that could fit a travel pass or even a phone or small purse. Both the bag and the pocket have secure zips , with the main compartment then also having the toggle effect that you can use to create a more rounded shape if you wish.In terms of the strap, it can be adjusted to fit comfortably across the body, however also is great as a shoulder bag which doesn't constantly fall down.I have this in what is described as an animal print but it's very subtle, with the main colour being a lovely royal blue which is then complemented with a subtle bit of yellow.

Quality Slipping.
I have loads of Kipling items, bags, cases, tablet case, purse, wallets, scarf, pencil case you name it and I've probably got it so I would like to think that I know kipling quality when I see it and to be honest I don't see it in the latest designs, this one included. You get a nice big roomy bucket style bag with the usual pockets and key fob inside, you get a fluffy monkey, you get an adjustable shoulder/crossbody strap, you get an unusual but very nice printed fabric. You don't get a secure bag as the draw string fastening doesn't pull in enough and this is the biggy you don't get the quality that Kipling is renowned for, the fabric feels thin and cheap compared to my older bags, the lining is so thin the light shows through and the zips don't glide as smoothly.I have used this bag butI don't think it will ever be one of my favourites.
