Ultimate Decking Stain 2.5L Medium Oak [39114]

We used medium oak, two coats and followed the instructions on the tin, very quick and simple. Really pleased!

Although the outside packaging was intact one of the tins was very badly dented. It was easy to apply but even after 2 coats, I feel a third was probable desirable.

Expensive but good.Check to see if the previous stain is an oil based product.If it is preparation is even more important.Thoroughly clean the old decking and then sandpaper it. Apply a decking stain remover if needed.This allows the water based product to soak in.Stir well and repeat stirring during application.The first coat takes longer to apply due to the thirsty old wood. The second coat is a doddle.I speak from experience a few years ago when I cut corners and the stain remained sticky for months.

Does what it says

Beautiful stain, glides on effortlessly and excellent coverage. Leaves the wood looking really natural. Only needed one coat, and completely transformed our decking. (We've only used half a tin) Can't comment on durability as it's only been down 1 day but absolutely worth the money. We used MEDIUM OAK.

This stuff is great, I've bought more since and used it on decking, fence trellis, pallet table and more. Applies smooth, goes far, and easy to wash out of paint brushes. The 'Light Oak' finish was absoultl;ey perfect, and adds high level of water protection that lasts. Just what I wanted.Highly recomend.
