Will this tester work reliably on new circuits with afci, gfi or combo breakers? I dont see anything from Klein saying it wont but some had problems

Mine turned red when held up to any of the AFCI breakers in my box, regardless of which socket I had the transmitter plugged into.

Wil this tool find other recepticals on the circuit?

It will find everything on the circuit BUT you will have to plug the transmitter into each outlet or using the socket adapter included with the accessories kit into a light socket of a lamp.  It's really pretty easy process though and I didn't do what I just described in the previous sentence.  Once I found the breaker from the outlet I had plugged the transmitter into, I flipped the breaker off, checked to make sure the outlet was indeed dead, then checked each outlet or light switch in the room and that told me everything on that circuit breaker.  When I went to an outlet and plugged the transmitter in, and it lit up, then I knew I was on a different breaker, and then that began the process of finding the breaker for that outlet, etc.  I hope this makes sense.  Good luck.  It really is a great product and I had no issues at all.  The time consuming part was trudging up flights of stairs and to each room after turning a breaker off to make sure I got the right one.  But now every outlet and switch in the house is mapped to a breaker.

Why is this exact kit available at the same store for two different prices? One is $3 more than the other for the same ET310 and accessories kit

I think stores do this in hopes someone will just pay more. Unless ther is something added, I would stick with the original item.

Will this work if the breaker is bad?

Yes, it should because the wires are still connected even if breaker is bad
