The Holman Illustrated Bible Commentary

Excellent commentary great understanding of the bible..I'm very happy with this commentary.I have about 6 commentaries this one got me right of the bat love it great blessing.I recomend it.I have been studying the bible for about seven years daily I find this one an excellent tool.love the pictures

I appreciate my Holman bible commentary. It speaks clear and direct and the verse by verse support scriptures are excellent. The commentary allows me to go beyond the Sunday school lesson and add scriptural background and build on the lesson for the student. Great gift for a new or seasoned teacher or student!!!

for those who are beginning to study the Bible instead of just reading it

Looks like a good book for me, but I am disappointed that this didn’t have the verse being discussed right there, without having to go to another book. If I had realized that before I bought the book, I probably wouldn’t have bought it.

What an amazing biblical resource!

I have read many Bible commentaries. Many commentaries it seems needs a commentary to explain the commentary. The Holman Illustrated Bible Commentary is easy reading and makes sense.

This is one of the resources that I use to help me to better understand some passages in the Bible. It is very helpful!
