Aorus steps up the game with product style and speed.
Excellent product. Copper heatsink looks great and packaging really feels premium. I even put the box on the shelf with my SNES collection lol. Usually I store component boxes but this feels worth showing off.Anyway installation was pretty easy. First time doing NVME m.2 but between directions and motherboard book it did not take too long. Had to play with bios settings to get it off legacy speed. Once I did that...I'm flying. This was the only change in my system. Went from 12k score to 16k score in FFXIV benchmark. Load times are amazing.Looking forward to doing more benchmarking and gaming on this beauty.

Fast, speed vary's, coil whine?
It's a PCIe 4.0 device, but I'm using it on a PCIe 3.0 motherboard (Aorus Gaming 7 OP).Read: 3400megabytes per second (not megabit).Write: 2600megabytes per secondMine was the 500GB version, cost about $75 new (a very lucky sale). No regrets here. I gave my evo860 to mom, she badly needed it... Very happy with the new drive. Just be aware, if you have old firmware, KEEP THE OLD FIRMWARE! Do not update it, it can cripple the speed. If yours comes with the new firmware, it most likely will be ok at this point in time.Mine has a bit of coil whine, that's when you click and drag using the mouse and you hear "clicking sounds"... very odd, but not a real bother. I've been using it for more than a year now and it's A-OK.

Low performance for Gen4x4 - Looks cool
The drive looks good, heavy, since the cooler is solid metal, but the performance was pretty poor, considering this is Gen4 x4. Here is the information I got when I ran CDM:FW VERSION - EGFM11.1CDM Q32 Read - 3624CDM Q32 Write - 26714K IOPS Read - 578K4K IOPS Write - 655K

Problems at 1 year mark
It was fine until the past couple weeks. Wasn't as amazing as I had hoped for, but did the job and didn't give me grief. Now it is giving me I/O errors, locks up my PC if a backup occurs, and can't run a program like TreeSize without locking up for up to 15 minutes at a time until I manage to close the program or cancel the backup. It's a nightmare. Their own tools (SSD Toolbox) won't recognize it. I'm ready to replace it with something that won't die on me in a year.
