I restore a lot of furniture and various household items, such as jewelry boxes, lamps and etc. I use this paint whenever the project calls for a black finish. Using a small paint brush, this paint goes on smoothly, has great coverage, has a beautiful high gloss finish, and once cured, it's extremely durable and scratch resistant. I highly recommend this product. In fact, I wish they made it in every color of the rainbow.

I just returned don't need it

I was restoring a snap on tool chest and picked this color to make this 1967 set of tool boxes look newer and brighter. I didn't think this paint was water based and it wasn't until I had painted a large area of this project that I realized I had been using water based latex.I thought about removing it but the color looks so great I decided to just go with it. There's almost no odor and the paint comes out shiny and deep looking. Use a primer if the surface has light and dark patches you're gonna paint over because this paint is kinda thin and will need a couple coats at least to fully even out any ghosting.It rolls on easily and you can spray it through a paint gun without thinning it.Try it out , it has a really nice bright shiny look that will make anything you use it on look newer and stay protected for a long time.

This is such a beautiful deep brown. I started a project on a budget and went from this white IKEA dresser (made of decent wood btw) and needed to match night stands in bedroom. I was a little leary of the color and not gonna lie panicked on the first coat above but, in the end was just as described and looks so luxurious. Friends think I bought at a upscale furniture store. Bought this cute vintage glass knobs and turned out better than hoped for! First time I've ever posted photo review but, think maybe it will help someone else wondering if for them. (photos above are light sanding, coats 1-4 and finished with a satin clear coat). Good luck! Great paint product.

This color is exactly what I pictured. When I opened the paint can however it was purple! I stirred it and stirred it and it was still purple but when I painted a swatch on a piece of wood within 15 minutes it was a beautiful reddish brown. I have never seen anything like it.

I didn’t realize when I ordered that it was an oil based paint. It wasn’t an issue for my project, but for some I’m sure it could cause problems. Just keep that in mind, I’m assuming it’s the same for the silver and bronze ones as well.Pros: Good price for the amount. Easy to use even for an oil based paint, if you stir it enough it almost becomes acrylic consistency. Does have a nice sheen in the light and actually looks like gold.Cons: Very runny, will need multiple coats to get it to look gold. It was almost sheer with the first coat and it scared me. Takes a while to dry even without the multiple coats. I was only doing detailing but if you have a large area you’ll probably need multiple cans.

The bucket was MUCH smaller than I predicted, not very much for an entire room. Just baseboards perhaps. But paint covers a lot and is not thin.

This is awesome paint. It is most commonly sold in a spray can. In the past I have purchased it in the can. When I went shopping I could not find it any where nor did any one know what I was talking about. It is very easy to work with. The rich smooth texture covers well and self levels like an oil base paint. The antique metal chairs will look wonderful for a long time.

Great paint to apply and gives a fantastic finish, can't understand why it is not more generally available in the UK.
