Brookstone Motorized Coin Sorter - a good product when used as directed by the label received with the coin sorter. Do not put in more than 20 coins at a time or the sorting mechanism will indeed jam. And it's not always easy to get the coin out of the sorting mechanism so it will work again. I found that it sorts coins well and without jamming if you slowly add coins (about 5-7 at a time, wait for those coins to get their spot in the sorting mechanism, then add another 5-7 coins). Using this method I found the machine was able to sort about 175 coins in about 5 minutes, without jamming. Since I don't usually have so many coins at one time though I don't see jamming coins being an issue in the future. What I did see is that the coin sorter doesn't stop when one of the coin rolls gets full. You have to watch for when coins reach the top of the coin roll. Then stop the coin sorter so you can replace the full coin wrapper with an empty one. Removing the coin roll from the coin roll container can be a little tricky at first. You can't push the roll out from the bottom because that only pushes the coins out of the roll container. Instead, using your finger, push the wrapper against the inside wall of the coin roll container and slide the coin roll out of the container. You'll be able to grab the other side of the coin roll wrapper with your thumb and pull the coin roll out of the acrylic coin roll container. The other thing I found with this coin sorter is that I sometimes need to jiggle the coin roll inside the coin roll container to make sure the coins are all laying flat. For the most part the coins fall inside the roll and lay flat. But every now and again one would get offset and that makes the coin roll look full when it's really not. So I recommend giving the coin rolls a little shake before taking them out of the roll container.Overall this is a good mechanical coin sorter that will put the coins in the proper coin roll in a pretty quick fashion. Just keep in mind this is not a high speed nor high volume coin sorter. It is for general every day use for sorting your spare change. And it does that job quite well. I recommend the Brookstone Motorized Coin Sorter to those who want an efficient way to sort and roll their spare change.

Sorts quickly and efficiently. Pretty loud.
I've always wanted one of these and now I have it! Love how this quickly sorts out change. Don't love how loud it is, but that's to be expected. If this were about $20 cheaper, I just might have given it 5 stars. A bit pricey in my opinion. I have found that it's easier to insert the wrappers over the collected coins than it is to put the coin wrappers in and then keep having a little bend in the papers stop coins from landing right. I like this thing a lot and it also entertains our toddler watching all the money go into the right slots. Sometimes we collect all the coins from her piggy bank, then load the money into the wrappers, and take it to the bank to deposit into her savings account. :) She has a lot of fun with it and has learned at a super early stage that saving a little money can really add up to a lot!

Good product
I got this last night and put it to the test right away. Directions aren't the best but it is pretty simple to figure out. Batteries seem to be harder to get in then it should be but got past that. I sorted over $150.00 in coins over a couple hour period. For the most part it worked pretty good. It did jam once but I have to be honest and say I probably put to many coins in at one time. This is one of those times it's important to follow the directions. Do a small amount of coins at one time. I found I could feed them in pretty steady but need to keep it around 20 coins at one time. I had to top off with a couple of coins each time I took out a role, especially on the pennies and dimes. But overall this worked pretty good for me the first time around.

BAIT AND SWITCH - BEWARE!
This product is advertised as a Brookstone product, but that's NOT what you get!!!! I ordered this product under the assumption that it would be Brookstone, but instead, I received the Magnif version. When I contacted Amazon, they admitted that it was their fault. They expedited my refund in the hopes that I would re-order from them again, which I did, to give them another chance. The representative even asked that I try ordering from another seller that was offering it at the same price, and advertised as Brookstone. Well, the second one that I received was yet again the Magnif version.IF YOU ARE NOT SELLING THE BROOKSTONE BRAND, DO NOT ADVERTISE IT AS SO. I feel like the wool is being pulled over my eyes. The customer service is terrible...I guess that's what you get from a too-big company that doesn't care if they lose one customer. I got the run around...said they would be launching an investigation to find out if it's advertised wrong on the site (UM, YES IT IS). After multiple supervisors, one finally asked that I re-order from the first seller, and offered me a promo for 50% off my NEXT purchase, but only on Amazon fulfilled items (yea right, after you messed up twice!?). They said there is nothing they can do, they don't have a way to get me what I ordered. If this is the case, then you need to come up with a better policy so this doesn't happen again. I'm sure I'm not the only customer to run into things like this.I am thoroughly disappointed in Amazon. SELLERS, you should be aware that this is your face when you sell here and how they treat customers directly affects you! I have been an Amazon shopper for quite sometime now, but not anymore. I will be going straight to Brookstone for my purchase.

Didn't even try to sort coins due to quality of material used to manufacture the sorter. My husband guessed I paid $20 for it, not $100.
