Beats Mixr Wired On-Ear Headphone - Yellow

I have used and have been using Beats headphones for a long time now. I have had the iBeats, urBeats, Tours, Solo HD, & Pros. Now I have the Mixrs and it can definitely compete with my other headphones. (Pioneer HDJ-2000, Sennheiser HD25-1 II, AKG K267 Tiesto, SOL Tracks HD)The Mixrs in comparison to the Solo HDs are better in every way. (Durability, sound quality, portability) The Mixrs are very uncomfortable at first but after you wear them in and stretch them out a bit they actually become quite comfortable. Even when you stretch them out though they are still a bit tight because they are DJ styled headphones and they need to be able to stay on your head when you're moving around and jumping.In comparison to the other Beats products, these aren't as bass heavy which actually surprised me because DJ headphones ideally need to be loaded with bass. That being said, the sound quality is pretty good but you could definitely get a better pair of headphones for $250 dollars.These headphones are very good looking, durable, and easily portable with the case that Beats gives you. Overall, I was very happy with this purchase namely because I was looking for a "good looking, durable, and easily portable" pair of headphones rather than for sound quality and DJ use.

I'm writing this review after 1 year of using it. After 1 year of usage, I have learn a few things about how to use this in order to get the most out of it.Sound:Audio fidelity - Good, as in no distortion at high volume.Clarity - Depends on whether I am listening to MP3s or FLAC. I can hear the difference. MP3s sound less expansive and more "funneled". With FLAC, the clarity is definitely discernible.Bass - Not bassy at all. Sounds flat actually.Durability:After 1 year of usage, they are still working.Comfort:There's actually a way to wear them without the clamp-down discomfort. The clamp-down discomfort is caused by the headband either slipping forward or backward, thereby increasing the pressure on the earcups. If the headband sits directly on your head, then the pressure is equally distributed across all 3 points of contact and your ears won't get so much pressure.Value for money:I know a lot of folks think it is over-priced. I bought this in December 2012 for $229.99. At that time, there wasn't a lot of options for light-weight headphones with Android compatibility. Nowadays, there are plenty of options. So if I am shopping for a pair today, I can't say for sure I will still pick this. But I will say that I did get my money's worth.If it helps to know, the music that I listened to using this headphone include The Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin, Fleetwood Mac, AC/DC, Daft Punk, The Eagles, Pink Floyd, Cream, Eric Clapton, Jimi Hendrix, Radiohead, Underworld and The Chemical Brothers. All of them remastered versions released after 2003.

If your are seeking recreational use with these, please go to Solo or Studio. In regards to what they were designed for, the DJ, get these yesterday. These cans are the best I have had so far. I am a full time traveling DJ both club and mobile. I run through head phones like water, because i work a lot and I dont need prissy equipment. These things are built tough and light weight. Fold up nice and small, especially if you gotta travel by plane or train. Metal parts are a plus for the ruggedness. No loose swiveling parts. The leather is great comfortable quality. The sound is extra great, not overbearing as those battery powered ones since I have headphones on constantly while blasting music in the background. The noise cancelling is superb. I see a lot of complaints about these cans being too tight, but that is their design.To fit tight and cuff the ear, keeping sound out as you can mix in your headset without having to turn up your headphone volume all the way up, damaging your eardrums. To a DJ, good working eardrums are essential. So to the professional DJ, what are you waiting for? Cop this cans man!!!

Okay so beats studios require batteries for them to work. In that case when they run out of batteries u cant use them. Also the batteries die very quickly. That is why i decided to get the mixrs the mixrs have all the cool bells and whistles such as swivel ear cup. I'm not saying to get the mixrs, because by the way they look the solos have all these different colors and decals. Don't go by looks though go by sound quality, durability, and features. And in that case the mixrs beat the solos. By the way you can contact monster and say you need replacement RED ear cups for your mixrs and all u have to do is email monster your adress. With red ear cups on the black mixrs you will look sick wherever you go. If you can't contact monster you can spray paint your ear cups red. If you choose to spray paint then don't worry about performance because spray painting the ear cups DO NOT EFFECT PERFORMANCE. The ear cups come off and have nothing to do with sound they are just cushions. Allthough they do make it noise cancelling but a coat of spray paint doesn't effect that. If you want style look at the website [...] they have all kind of colored beats. If you have money to burn go to [...] there you can customize beats, Iphones, Ipads, computers, Xbox's, Microphones, and the bose quiet comfort 15's if your all about performance. Well its all up to you but thats just my opinion!

Hier nun mein subjektiver Eindruck beider Modell.1. Optik : Beide Modelle sehen stylisch aus ,wobei mir persönlich die Studios edler aussehen.2. Verarbeitung : Die Mixr klappern und wackeln ein bißchen ,auch verstellen sie sich ständig in der Größe. Bei den Studios wackelt und klappert nichts. Einmal auf die Kopfgröße eingestellt und gut ist es.3. Lieferumfang : Bei beiden Modellen top!4. Tragekomfort : Hier punkten ganz klar die Studios,angenehm und fast nicht spürbar. Die Mixr drücken und sitzen sehr stramm.5.Lautstärke : Die Mixr sind etwas lauter als die Studios.iPhone Lautstärke 50%Mixr entspricht ungefähr 70% Studios.6.Sound : Bei beiden Modellen für mich sehr gut ,satter bassbetonter Sound.Die Mixr etwas mehr basshaltig,die Studios etwas ausgeglichener und differenzierter.Die Mixr sind ruhig ,wenn keine Musik läuft, während die Studios einen leichtes Grundrauschen produzieren.Dieses leichte Rauschen ist in ruhigen Passagen natürlich nicht so schön. Es wird wohl vom Noice Cancalling System erzeugt ,obwohl die Mixre ohne besagtes System nicht viel weniger Außengeräusche abschirmen.Die Soundqualität ist natürlich von der Qualität der Musikdatei abhängig .Die Unterschiede sind deutlich hörbar und entscheiden zwischen guten und schlechten Sound und nicht zwischen guten und schlechten Beats.7.Diverses : Die Mixre werden angeschlossen und gut ist es.Die Studios sind auf einen Akku angewiesen,der rund 20Std. hält.Die Studios sind irgendwie technischer. An/Aus Schalter,LED-Anzeige.,Stummschaltung,NC.8.Fazit : Ich bin kein Profi ,aber für mich als Leihe ist die Entscheidung nicht leicht.Beide Modelle haben Vor-und Nachteile.Mal abgesehen vom Sound ,der bei beiden gut ist,sitzen die Mixr etwas unbequem und strammen ,während die Studios halt dieses leichte Grundrauschen haben.Für mich wären die Studios ohne das Noice Cancalling(Grundrauschen) oder die Mixre mit dem Tragekomfort der Studios perfekt. Unterm Strich ist die Entscheidung für mich " Leichtes Grundrauschen vs. Tragekomfort". Nachtrag 03.04 .2014 So die Entscheidung ist gefallen!!! Es ist der Mixr . Das Grundrauschen vom Studio 2.0 ist das absolute K.O. Kriterium . Es nervt bei Übergängen zwischen zwei Musiktiteln und TV oder Blueray über Kopfhörer geht garnicht , da hier das Rauschen in ruhigen Filmszenen noch mehr nervt. Ich will keinen 300.- Euro Kopfhörer ,der rauscht.Da ist mir der Mixr einfach besser und auch unkomplizierter . Der Sound ist genauso gut , die Abschirmung auch ohne NC fast identisch und das alles ohne Abhängigkeit von einen Akku.

These headphones are very good, but there are a couple of issues that stop it from being a five star product.These look good and are well designed. You wouldn't be embarrassed to wear these out where people can see you. The fact the headphones can twist is fantastic and very practical. When I was looking for good headphones, I wanted something that isn't too big and is easy to store - these headphones do the trick. Also, a little neat edition is the fact you can plug the cable in either headphone port instead of being limited to just one. It's not ground-breaking stuff, but it's still nice. Although, these are designed well, it is not perfect, and it will be addressed further down this review.The sound quality is fantastic! I was blown away by how good it was! I've used earphones and headphones in the past, and I have to say, these are the best I've used as of yet. I love listening to instrumental beats, and when playing them, I hear sounds I've never heard before. I cannot fault the sound quality. Just amazing.Now for the cons. Now, the first problem isn't TOO major per se, but it should still be noted. These headphones do leak A LOT of sound and I mean A LOT. Even when your music is played pretty low, you can still hear the music quite clearly. Okay, in a loud or pretty noisy environment, you can get away with it. But let's say you're listening to it on the bus; guaranteed, you will not be the only person listening to the music you're enjoying. This would definitely cause a problem, especially depending on the genre of music; If you're an Eminem fan, you will be receiving daggers from certain people for sure, because I'm pretty confident many people won't appreciate his craft.This last con is my main problem with the headphones, and really the definitive reason I've given this a three. They get SO uncomfortable to wear after awhile of wearing them. I have to take a break from listening to music it's that bad. The whole idea is to not only enjoy the music, but have comfort while doing it. How can you enjoy it if you feel pain in the process? It literally gets excrusiating after some use and it's even worse just after you take them off to rest your ears. It's not bad enough for me to get rid of them because the headphones sound quality is THAT good, but I have to make allowances for my troubles. This is the area that hasn't been designed well enough. It's a real shame as this is otherwise an absolute recommend to anyone.In conclusion, a great product, but one issue kinda ruins it for me. I would recommend this on the basis of the sound quality, but just be prepared to make allowances. And make sure you buy this from a reputable company, as fake Beats by Dre's are out there.

Gekauft zum Auflegen als leichtere Variante und als mobiler Kopfhörer und dafür absolut tauglich. Als Sennheiser Fan wollte ich auch noch einmal einen anderen Sound testen. Die Beats Kophörer sind ja umstritten und daher war ich neugierig... Kurz - der Mixr hat seine kleinen klanglichen Schwächen - daher 4 Sterne- klingt aber immer noch sehr gut. Man muss einfach beachten, dass jeder Kophörerhersteller, wie bei Lautsprechern seine eigene Klangcharakteristik hat, die eben gefällt, oder auch nicht. Mir gefällts. Der Mixr ist halt sehr bassbetont, was man mag oder nicht - ich mag es und es erleichtert das mixing sehr, wenn die Beats satt durchkommen. Das bedeutet nicht, dass es zuviel Bass ist oder dumpf klingt!Der Bass ist sauber und kontrolliert und die Mitten und Höhen kommen trotzdem sauber durch. Eine kleine Schwäche dürfte die etwas zu starke Betonung um die 100Hz sein. Dadurch wirkte der EBass bei Kirm Carnes Draw of the cards etwas zu aufdringlich. im oberen Mitteltonbereich ist wohl auch eine Anhebung im Frequenzgang, was evtl. Stimmen etwas harsch erscheinen lässt. Es bleibt aber alles im Rahmen. Die akustische Darstellung der Brandenburgischen Konzete von Bach schaffte der Mixr recht problemlos, bis auf genannte, kleine Schwächen. Die Stärken des Mixr liegen sicher in der elektronischen Musik. Ich arbeite hauptsächlich mit House/Tech House, Techno/Hardtechno und Trance/Goa Trance/Psy und überall macht der Mixr eine sehr gute Figur. Auch Schiller - alias Christopher von Deylen klingt sehr gut - Tiefblau ist hier ein absoluter Tipp. Es sind unglaubliche Pegel erreichbar und der Mixr beibt stets sauber und kontrolliert. Bei einsatz eines Kopfhörerverstärkers lässt sich unheimlich viel herausholen. Verarbeitet ist der Mixr sehr gut und sauber. Metallhalterungen für die Muscheln und hochwertiger Kunstoff dürften lange Freude bereiten. Einziges, klenes Manko ist, dass er sehr straff auf den Ohren sitzt. Bei Brillenträgern, wie mir, drückt es nach 2 Stunden schon deutlich. Das ist beim Mixing weniger tragisch, da man die Kopfhörer nicht permanent auf hat und die meisten Hörsessions dürften auch in diesem Bereich liegen. Alles in allem ein sehr guter Kopfhörer und sicher besser, als manch einer urteilt.Klang ist halt auch immer individuell, und das ist auch gut so ;-)

Im folgenden möchte ich kurz meine Meinung zu diesen Kopfhörern abgeben. Ich hab mir schon zuvor ein Headset von Logitech mit über 350 Euro gekauft, das jedoch mit Akku läuft. Zuvor habe ich mehrere Kopfhöreranbieter durchgetestet, und zuletzt wieder die original Kopfhörer von Apple verwendet.Aber nun einmal zu diesen.Ich habe jene Hörer erstmals über Prime bestellt und jene wurden wie versprochen an dem angegeben Tag versendet und geliefert. Dies war sehr überraschend für mich, als erstmaliger Prime Kunde, gleichzeitig sehr erstaunlich.Die Hörer selbst kamen in (außer den üblichen Amazon Verpackungen) in einer sehr edlen Verpackung an. Durch "Zip" Verschlüsse lassen sich somit zwei verschiedene Bereiche der Box öffnen, die sowohl Anleitungen, als auch Kabel und Kopfhörer selbst beinhalten.Ich selbst besitze aufgrund bestimmter Meinungen zwar zwei Ipods, jedoch ein HTC als Handy. Jenes (HTC One X+) unterstützt wie auch gekennzeichnet Beats und lässt sich durch den am Kopfhörerkabel angebrachten Schalter regulieren und steuern. Ich nutze für die Musik aus Akkugründen hauptsächlich den Ipod, das Feature ist dennoch sehr beeindruckend.Da der Klang mich mit den Hörern von Logitech bereits enorm beeindruckte (Kopfhörer umschließen die Ohren) erwartete ich nicht mehr besonders viel bzw. konnte ich nicht mehr sehr viel "neu" erlernen. Die Hörer liegen auf den Ohren und (für mich als sehr empfindliche Person den Ohren betreffend) war dies sehr schmerzhaft, sobald ich die Hörer für eine längere Zeit verwendete. Nach mehreren Tagen jedoch gewöhnen sich die Ohren an den Polster und mehrstündiges Tragen der Hörer ist ebenso akzeptabel. Der Sound ist aufgrund der Kompaktheit nicht gegeben, dafür jedoch sind die Kopfhörer sehr leicht verstaubar. Es ist eine entsprechende Box vorhanden und für unterwegs sind die Hörer wirklich wow. Bessere Kopfhörer sind wirklich nur zu Hause (gescheid) verwendbar und aus diesem Grund kann ich die Audio Beats wirklich nur empfehlen.Ja, sie drücken am Anfang ebenso wie andere, billige Kopfhörer. Doch man gewöhnt sich an jene, im Gegenzug zu jenen billigen Vertretern. Der Sound ist ebenso gut wie bei qualitativ hochwertigen Hörern von anderen Marken. Ich kann nichts über die "die Ohren umschließenden" Kopfhöhern sagen, dennoch bin ich sehr über jene begeistert.Edle Verpackung, edles Aussehen und gerechtes Hörerlebnis. Daher definitiv eine Empfehlung! ((:

La recensione sara' un po lunga, ma voglio essere il piu' chiaro possibile.Ci sono moltissime persone che sostengono che le Beats sono cuffie sono per chi vuole apparire e per chi vuole buttare soldi... Allora, effettivamente devo dire che ci sono cuffie Beats che costano almeno 50 eruo in piu' come le come le Studio e le Solo 2, anche per quanto riguarda i materiali, le Beats citate prima sono tutte in plastica, giusto i padiglioni delle Studio sono in "pelle" ma le Solo sono davvero pessime, tutte in plastica... ma queste no.Anche se c'e della plastica, e' di una qualita' superiore rispetto alle cuffie citate prima, oltre a questo c'e pure dell'aluminio che esteticamente e' fantastico e poi la pelle, vera pelle dei padiglioni.Per quanto riguarda la comodita', devo dire che mi aspettavo di meglio, sono comode attenzione, ma stringono un po troppo, e sono giunto alla conclusione che e' "colpa " di come vanno messe nella custodia, visto che vanno leggermente piegate verso l'interno, e questo secodo me fa "strigere" le cuffie che poi messe in testa spingono verso l'interno, comuque si fa l'abitudine fidatevi.Il suono e' molto avvolgente, bassi e alti sono bilanciati benissimo e devo dire che sento degli effetti che prima non sentivo, forse con le UrBeats, che per essere piccole sono assurde, ma ovviamente queste sono nettamente superiori.Parliamo del prezzo... come scritto sopra, io pagherei 100 euro le Solo e 150-170 le Studio, ricordo un altro fattore fondamentale, queste cuffie quando sono uscite costavano 350 euro, ed insieme alle Pro erano per me le migliori cuffie della Beats, in molti sostengono che le Mixr sono migliori delle Pro per certi punti di vista, quindi averle prese a 150 euro e' ottimo, praticamente ho pagato con 50 euro in piu' delle Solo, delle cuffie che costavano 350, ora, solo un cretino di compra le Solo o Studio, mi scuso per il cretino ma e' la verita' !!!In conclusione, consiglio tutte le Beats ?Assolutamente no, perche' le Solo costano 200 euro, e con quel prezzo mi compro delle Bose che sono nettamente superiori, ma qeste cuffie a questo prezzo, le straconsiglio, io le avrei pagate anche 250, ma a 150 sono praticamente regalate !!!
