Very good product
In Japan this saved us when we got sick. In America I am so glad we can obtain this quickly. It helps.

Have to take it at first sign of sore throat
First got this in Japan - glad to be able to buy it here even though it's much more expensive. Good for first signs of sore throat but doesn't work as well if you're already hurting.

Best against coughing and sore throat. Japanese usually dont cheat with medicines. They went through hell after 1945 nuclear attack so they know the real meaning of pain.

Good to calm a cough
When I first ordered this Japanese cough powder, I felt it worked well. I even ordered the peach flavor which was cheaper. However, it isn't available now. The Blue box mint one somehow doesn't work as well. Did they change the formula? Or has my cough progressed more? It's rather expensive for 16 sachets. This is the second time I ordered it. I find it's still expensive but it works.

It helped my year long cough!!
I have been coughing for over a year, on and off (I know it’s crazy). Met with dozens of doctors, both western and Chinese, I even tried acupuncture at one point! Tried all OTC medicines you could think of (cough syrup, cough drops, acid reflux meds, nasacort... you name it), nothing helped!!! I almost gave up until it hit me the other day that my friend gave me a pack of Ryukakusan from Japan. Since that one expired I tried searching on amazon, and found it!! God how soothing it was the first time I tried. I am sure it’s gonna stop me from coughing soon... Btw it doesn’t taste good, mint + some herbs so it’s a little bitter. But if it helps my cough, I don’t care how it tastes....

Ryukakusan mint flavored powder
I had a cold with an itchy throat and some coughing while I was traveling in Japan. The pharmacist referred me to take the mint flavored Ryukakusan one packet up to six times a day. After I took three packets a day for two days, I was fully recovered. Now, whenever I felt the first symptom of a scratchy throat, I will take the powder immediately and it never d develop into a cold and I was fine. I will order more when I ran out and I will always bring them with me when I travel.
