HELLEBORUS: The genus Helleborus covers a group of perennial plants from Europe and Asia. Virtually all are garden worthy, though the acaulescent (stemless) hybrids have become the most popular forms found in gardens. These perennials are vigorous growers and abundant bloomers in rich, alluring colors like deep red-wine, cherry-blossom pink, to soft, creamy lime and pure, snow white. They are undemanding when provided with just a little shade and well-drained soil. (Lenten Rose) Royal Heritage Helleborus orientalis will have you pleasantly surprised with the wide array of colors included with this interesting hybrid strain of Helleborus. Purple, near-black, white, pale green, yellow, pink, rose, and red flower colors are possible, some are spotted or brushed with a contrasting color on the 2 inch wide blooms. Blooms begins winter or very early spring and continues for several weeks. Foliage is a leathery dark green that persists well into winter. Royal Heritage Strain was the 2005 Perennial Plant of the year award winner.

I will have to get more
Got here on time and in good condition. Unfortunately, the leaves turned black and the plant died with in a month of planting. No fault of the company, there has to be some kind of fungus in my garden that has been killing all new plants.

but the plants were beautiful. Very healthy and extremely well packaged
They were a little smaller than I had anticipated, but the plants were beautiful. Very healthy and extremely well packaged. They had, in fact, stayed in my post office box quite a few days longer than they should, but were still beyond expectations.

healthy plants
Even though the box was quite beaten in by the postal service the plants were large and healthy. So far they seem to be surviving well. I look forward to seeing them bloom next season.

Embarrassing Gift
Had to give this as a gift. By the time it got here 2 leaves were dead. 2 were more brown than green. 1 was healthy. no blooms, which was fine. The fact that it was a dying plant upon arrival was not.
