What I expected but the sticky label on the blade was old and well stuck. Managed to remove it after 20 minutes with white spirit and some rubbing. Still left a mark too. A few rust marks on the blade too but that is probably down to the supplier's stock room rather than the product.Further to the above, I'm finding the rust along the marking edge a little annoying. Tried talking to the supplier to no avail. The rust is probably more to do with the supplier than the product.

Unlike the other reviewer my square was clean and in new condition.Its also a correct right angle as one would expect. Slightly surprised it doesn't have a brass plate on the handle but for DIY use that shouldn't be an issue. Also note it will not lie flat to the work-piece without being held - the weight of the handle pulls it down. Not sure if all 9" squares have the same issue.
