Q: Will this fit a lg g5 in an otter box commuter case?

Hi Pat - This holster will fit a device whose measurements do not exceed 6.7" tall x 3.7" wide x 1.9" deep. It would be best to measure your device, once it is in the protective case to find out if it is a good fit or not.

Q: Will this fit a Galaxy Note 4 with UAG case (or equivalent)? The Note 4 is the same size as the Note 3.

I have a thin case on my phone and it's tight. For use with a thicker case I would say take a look at the Kuteck brand leather case. I have extra space using that one with my 6+. And that should fit a Galaxy note with case no prob.

Q: What is the best size of these Nite Ize cases for the Galaxy s8 note with otter box defender?

The extra tall does not fit. I'm looking for a case for my note 8, and it will not fit in the extra tall. I'm gonna try the wide load case.
