Outstanding for running!
This towel has been an absolute game chanher for me. I am a long distance runner in Northern California, and it can get pretty warm here. With this towel, I am no longer bothered by the heat. I wet it, wrap it around my neck and tuck the ends into my bra or shirt to secure it. I also cut an approximately 4" slit in one end, so I can tuck the opposite end thru and wear it "scarf-style" without worry that it'll blow off. When I need to refresh it, I take it off, snap it, wipe face and put it back on. I do trail races, which can get pretty hot and aid stations can be far apart. Afterwards, I'll hear people complaining about the heat, and I'm like, NOPE, I didn't feel a thing. It's fabric like, not rubbery chamois, so it folds compactly and is actually comfortable enough to carry in hand if you don't want to wear it. Also, on long runs that start when it's cool, I wet it, put it in a baggie, then keep it in my hydration pack for when I need it. In terms of how long it's effective, I've used it on runs upwards of 3 hours and it still cools. I've recommended this to all my running friends, and will buy a couple more.

Soft and does the job
I used one of these for a trip to Walt Disney World in August. My parents used something similar from a different brand - theirs got crusty and hard when they dried. I really liked that mine was always soft to the touch and didn't get the slightest bit crusty when it dried.Just wet one of these with water and put around your neck, on your head, etc. When it gets warm from body heat, pull it off and wave it around a bit, then put it back. When it dries, if folds up neatly to store in a purse, pocket, etc.My parents liked mine much better than theirs and will be ordering some for themselves soon.

Helps! More so with ice added in humid areas
*Update* July 3, 2018 - still very good to have!*Nearly 3 years now since purchased. Still great! Used again today, and about to start keeping more "ice strips" in a cooler in the trunk when out for more than one stop. It's a lifesaver - WITH the ice strip (see below) - not only when in/out of a hot car, running errands, but also when doing yard work or even stepping outside to change hummingbird sugar water and freshen the birdbaths or water a few plants. Heck, I used it yesterday evening just to sit on the patio with my spouse for a little while. Much easier to enjoy the birds, etc., when I'm ABLE to sit in the heat. Ahh ... *I've had this for nearly two years now. Soft, comfortable, dries quickly. Helps cool me. Details now:For some areas of the country - where it's more arid ... moisture evaporates more readily - it would likely get a 5-star review. Here, I knew it might not work as well by simply wetting it down and throwing it around my neck. In less than a minute, it's warm, like my skin. No longer cooling. So I must move it around to find a "cool" part to touch my neck, hands, or face in order to cool me a little. In that way, it does help, and it's long enough that I can put strips of ice pockets FlexiFreeze Ice Sheet 3-Pack in it, wrap around them, and use it that way. (Or use regular ice.) It has, indeed, helped me on our hottest days while out watering plants, going to/from a grocery store, etc. I sometimes keep extra "ice strips" in a small cooler in the trunk. It gets hot enough here in the midsouth that otherwise, I might not be wiling to get outside at all.... It's better than a regular towel because it doesn't stay soaking wet, and so doesn't get me or my clothing wet. This towel is also better than some I bought at Costco. Thicker, long enough to easily add ice, ...It washes well. Until recently, I let it air dry. (It dries quickly, and if I want to use it while it's wet, ... well, that's how I use it, anyway.) :) In the dryer, it did shrink.I have the orange color, and like it.My review for the FlexiFreeze is here, FlexiFreeze Ice Sheet 3-Packhttps://www.amazon.com/review/R1I8LXW69027J3/ref=cm_cr_rdp_perm?ie=UTF8&ASIN=B001PTGO5A

Great Buy!
For the size and price of this towel, it absolutely cannot be beat. I ordered this for my 8.5 month pregnant wife, whose hands and feet are like the furnaces of Hades at night, and she's finally comfortable. Which means I'm comfortable. And even though you get it wet under the faucet, once you wring it out, it doesn't seem to pass the wetness to anything else, so being used in bed, the sheets stay dry, which is pretty awesome. There are lots of colors to choose from, and shipping was super fast. I'm glad I made this purchase.

Super impressed at first
I received this on Monday and today is Saturday...6 days. Super impressed at first. Keeps cool and in 118 degrees in Arizona it definitely made a difference in keeping us cool. Today I realized all the stitching is coming off one side. Right after I ordered two more. Disappointed. =(

Better than Frogg Togg, Best Cooling Towel I've found so far
I have used this towel during the blistering Texan summer of '17 to help with my MS. It cools quickly and stays cool for about 45 minutes-1 hour, plenty of time for me to get it wet or stash it in the fridge and cool it further. I tried freezing it but wasn't keen that it absorbed all the smells of the freezer (who knew an empty freezer could smell?), but have left it in the fridge to further chill. That seems to lengthen the cooling time by about 30 minutes.I have used a variety of other cooling cloths, but find this one to be the least aggravating. It dries soft and is machine washable. It's a good length and width, and would be able to be cut into strips if I wanted (I don't, I say milk it for all its worth!). I highly recommend.

Very impressed!
My wife & I just hiked out of the Grand Canyon. We had never used a cooling cloth or other device like this one, and we were VERY IMPRESSED! We were about 1/2 way through our 10 mile hike, and were feeling pretty tired and hot. I doused my cooling towel under a faucet and wrapped it around my neck. It felt good immediately, but the really nice part was that after about a half-hour, I followed the instructions and wrung and snapped the towel (with no fresh water) and it felt just as cool as the first time. I am definitely going to to keep this with me in many future outings.
