WARN34971 Contractor, 12V, SW, W/Factor Y Bracket

i have used and abused this solenoid. i've had it strapped to the front of my warn 8274 since october 2014, (feb 2016 now) through mud/snow/watercrossings/rain/ you name it. i've done many long hard pulls and never had an issue, up untill a couple months ago, my winch motor shorted out, not sure if it was because the solenoid, or visa versa... swapped motors, burnt another one... did some bench voltage tests, and it was giving weird readings (2v without any buttons pressed, low voltage on "A" output etc) so i pulled this little guy off, and to my absolute surprise i took a couple screws off and water started leaking out of it..... i've been letting it dry a few days, and will re-assemble to see if it will work again ( fingers crossed) but other than my own stupidity it has been perfect, and eventhough it hurts the wallet, i believe it is a great solenoid, i would just keep it out of the elements a little more, and maybe do some precautionary water proofing anyways (warn only uses rubber gaskets behind screws etc to keep water out, i would completely goop it with silicone myself)

Great alternative to the usual relay pack, smaller size and water proof for better mounting options, can be wired up to work with wired remote or in cab switch or both.
