Q: Would it be possible to set this up inside or does it need to be staked in order to stand?

I set it up just fine on carpet with out needing to stake it. My Nephew slept in it all night in the middle of my living room with no problems. I gave the tent to him and he set it up in his room on hard wood floors and it stood just fine.

It depends on what you expect. I come from a military "embrace the suck" outdoors experience. I'm 6' 2" 190 lbs and it worked great for me. I lay diagonally and there's enough room for me and my pack plus some extra room for sorting my stuff out of the weather. Ten out of ten recommend this as shelter over a poncho strung up with bungies. I bought this tent as a place holder for something better years ago when it was about $20. I had low expectations and this tent exceeded them in that it's still serviceable years later with lots of use. I've moved on to using a tarp because tarps are cheap, I already know how to pitch them from the military, I also hammock camp, and the tarp works for both. I wear as mesh bug suit which doubles as an extra base layer in winter.

Q: Can you stand up in it

No - it's pretty small. My 6'1" son can barely stretch out in it. Barely fits two sleeping bags, most definitely a backpacking tent.

Q: Is there a back window? One is in the picture, yet a customer says it doesn't.

Yes it does like the kind you have two zippers so it can be a window or not if you unzip
