Works great for running a server from a rack into a KVM!
I have a 42U NetApp server rack in my home office, and two servers inside it. It's right by my door, with hard tile, so no carpet to run wires under. I ran two long HDMI cables and two Ethernet cables around the perimeter of the room to a KVM switch, and the Ethernet cables were used for two pairs of these devices. They work fantastically through the KVM, and I'm very pleased with the results. If you can't get them to pair, unplug BOTH ends AND the power adapter simultaneously to reboot them. If one is still receiving power, even from just USB on one end, they will NOT repair correctly! Found that out the hard way!

Works great!
I'm using this for a remote PC so I needed to be able to plug a hub into the receiving end to have all my USB things work. I found that not all hubs want to be compatible with this, and you're best off checking device manager to make sure there are no USB device errors. Some stuff would work but still have an error in device manager. Once I found a "root" hub that didn't have issue I had no problems plugged in several mice, keyboards, GoXLR, Stream Deck, two other USB hubs, etc into it. I used a 50ft flat ethernet cable (still coiled up) as a worst-case-scenario test. I also verified that my mouse 1000hz poll rate was still working with this. The only con is that it is USB 2.0 not 3.0, but I figure if I really need full speed for an external hard drive or something I'll just go over to my remote computer and plug in directly. I was able to get 38MB/s from a USB3.1 drive through this, which is reasonably 100% USB 2.0 speed.

Full speed USB2 spec at 50 feet
I have my gaming PC in another room to keep the heat and noise down. This gets the KB/mouse and headset to my desk in another room. Plugged this adapter into a monitor with USB hub and was able to plug in my headset, keyboard, and mouse without issue. Tested writing to a USB NVME drive while all other devices were plugged in and was able to get the full 33MB/s while being able to move the mouse and type without issue. I have a separate device to run the HDMI room to room and it supports keyboard and mouse only. I could not get the headset to work at all. Sucks having to run 2 network cables room to room but it makes a much cleaner desk not having a desktop on the desk or worse on the floor.

Great Product but not compatible with some WebCams
Great Product but not compatible with some WebCams. So unfortunately I had to return it.

Worked perfectly even without extra power!
This extender came with a power supply but I have not had to use it. I needed to fix a camera installation that covers my office space while I am teaching remote classes. I wired this with cat-6 back to the patch-panel and from there picked up a cat-6 going to an outlet near the desk. I was worried about signal drop because of the distance and the panel, but I am getting a perfect signal from the camera without it :)

Unreliable
These usb and hdmi over ethernet extenders work well...UNTIL THEY DON'T. The problem is the cheap power adapters which fail after about a year. Then you either find a replacement power adapter or replace the unit. I've bought many and they all repeatedly fail including this one.

Does exactly what its supposed to do
I have a UPS for our home server in a closet away from the actual tower. I tried a passive ethernet extender but I must have been right on the edge of the max length it would support because it world disconnect randomly. I would have to unplug/plug it to get it to relink. This though has had a solid connection since day one and has been in use for a couple months now. My run is about 25' with CAT5E.

This product worked really well
I bought this product to place a PTZ camera at the rear of the sanctuary of our church. Since USB connections are limited to 16 feet, the extender was critical to be able to use the camera that far away from my desk. I purchased this unit because it had a separate power source and didn't rely only on power from the computer. I was pleasantly surprised that it worked perfectly without the power source. I used a 100' ethernet cable to join the two parts of the extender together. I am very happy with this product and recommend it to those who need to extend their USB connections.
