This is the "little case that could". This case had very little reviews (i'm the third) on here so I figured I should put my input on it. I decided to give it a shot because the design looked nice to me and the materials they used seemed to be top notch. Metal aluminum bumper with inner TPU and clear poly carbonate back. This COULD have been a great case but it really fell short on the execution.As soon as I received the case I took it out of its fancy packaging (which is pretty nice) and immediately I saw a scratch on the clear backing. It wasn't like a huge deal because I would have been willing to buff it out myself if the rest of the case was good. So I proceeded to install the case on my phone. Putting the case on was not so difficult. You do need to do it a couple of times to get used to it but its do-able. With the case on it feels a bit chubby on the sides but the back didn't add much bulk so it still felt somewhat thin. The aluminum frame felt good so i though this might be okay. With case installed it looked great honestly. I got the silver frame and it blended well with my silver s7 edge. Then I tried to power up the screen by pressing the power button. "uhhhhh...." nothing happened. Tried another press.....again nothing. Then I pressed very hard and finally the screen lit up. It really takes a ridiculous amount of effort to press the power button. Naturally, I tried the volume buttons next. THEY WERE EVEN STIFFER THAN THE POWER BUTTON!!! Its absolutely ridiculous! The buttons on my phone are basically useless while this case is installed. To add insult to injury, looking at the back of the case showed that dreaded rainbow effect. There is no dot matrix on the clear back to prevent the glass of the phone sticking to the clear poly carbonate case. This thing is a total fail and should definitely be avoided. I should say that the aluminum frame is indeed metal from what I can tell. I didn't have it on long enough to check and see if that metal frame interfered with reception in any way. The TPU part did provide what seemed to be good protection on the front as well as the back. That's about all the good things I can say about it.They really did have a good design, good idea, and good materials. When it came to production time they just crapped all over it. At this price point, you can get a much better case. Like one with functioning buttons *sarcasm*. Look else where. Hope this helps someone who is case shopping.

My only problem with the case is the clear back scratches easily. Otherwise I have dropped my phone face down a couple times and it has protected it.

Good Packaging, Timely DeliveryI have received the product few days ago. Packaging Viewpoint is little overwhelming, not like any other usual phone case. This product appears to be very well manufactured. It has hard polycarbonate, soft rubber and anodized aluminum to form the definitive in protection for your Galaxy S7. The use of machined metal instead of plastic provides military-level drop protection in a slim, pocketable case. The rubbery TPU that lines the outer edge of your case, providing grip, button protection and overall drop protection, but to be honest I couldn't bring myself to drop my brand new Galaxy S7 Edge on the ground purposely. But the design is so unique that its machined aluminum will protect the perimeter of your device, while inside the soft rubber wraps around will protect the device from drops and ensuring metal never touches your unit. Overall I would say it have the premium and expensive look and it seems it will work like one. I can’t believe this case isn’t available everywhere. I’ve been using it for about a week now and you will see what I mean, as soon as you get the package-even the packaging is extremely high quality. The box is beautiful and sturdy. I love this case, read below to see why.Construction:As with any case that provides serious protection, there are several layers. There is a clear plastic layer and a metal over-layer that protects the phone from serious damage. All the cutouts in the bottom for the headphone port, charging cable and other cables are QUITE generous, meaning you will be able to fit your cords no problem. Even my right angle audiophile CIEM cords fit perfectly. The buttons are have a “subdued click response”. They do not audibly click but you can feel a slight click when you press them.The metal on the case is well finished and the case is designed to mimic the look of the S7 edge itself. It does this perfectly, it literally looks just like it. The clear portion of the case is crystal clear, there is no fog whatsoever. You can look through my order history, I am a bit of clear case connoisseur. This case hangs with my best Spiegen case as being perfectly clear, no fog or tint at all, beautiful.The way the back is made, there is a black rubber piece that lines both sides of the case, this serves to raise the lens another ~1/9th of an inch off the surface of the table protecting it even more. It also adds a nice solid grip to the back of the case, I do not foresee this material losing it’s grip over time. The black metal rubbery material that lines the curved glass of the edge screen is a nice touch, it protrudes above the metal portion of the case and does the same as the same material on the back, it lifts the edge screen off the surface of whatever you place it on, genius. So now when you lay your S7 Edge on a table face down, the screen won’t be touching the table at all.This case will make your phone quite a bit wider but when you pick it up you get a feeling of super quality and protection, like your phone is perfectly save. It still fits in my front pocket just fine-both jeans and dress pants. Guys this is the last S7 Edge cause I’ll ever buy, I just wish mine was in silver to match my phone, I ended up getting the gold one. I would love to see them offer it in black gold and silver to match the S7 Edge color offerings.I love this case, extreme quality-no hyperbole. You will not be disappointed. At this price, it’s a steal. You’d pay ~100 for a case like this in a retail store.
