Quiet!
I have the Colt exhaust on my 2001 Grand Cherokee WJ that comes with 14" body, 9" wide single chamber muffler (a common size EVERYBODY makes). I liked it but over time I got fatigued with it's volume. If I was 21 I'd have probably left it. This Dynomax was a direct replacement for the (or any) 14" muffler. Almost bought the #17747 which is a 20" body of the same muffler and close to the oem size muffler. Glad I didn't because that would have likely been too quiet. This one is already hardly louder if any than stock but it sounds good all the time and at every rpm. Can also hold conversations and listen for other noises in the vehicle (it's a 24 year old vehicle, that's important lol). This is about as civilized of a performance muffler you're going to find.

Civilized muscle car sound
This is exactly what my car needed. The idle is noticeable but not loud. It revs nicely to a mean growl. They don't drone at all and are so much more civilized when driving than the Thrush welded mufflers I had on before. This was money well spent giving my muscle car just the right balance of sound and comfort. The reviews complaining about the fit are unfair. This is a muffler for custom installation. If you don't know what your doing, then have these professionally installed. This is a heavy muffler and seems to be well built. The aluminized materials are thick and and of good quality. I don't feel like this will rust out any time soon. I highly recommend this for any classic car.

Makes straight 6 sound good
This muffler was perfect for my 93 yj. Gave the jeep a really nice mellow sound. Only bad I had is the rear output sleeve was a bit undersized. I had to heat it up and enlarge with another piece of exhaust pipe then heat the output and cool down the tail pipe to get them together.

Awesome muffler, I highly recommend it. No regrets here, guarantee it!
Typically I am a very picky guy when it comes to exhaust tones and simply any parts for my cars but I must say that for the money this is a great Muffler. It fit my e30 perfectly and the sound is just phenomenal, especially for a four-cylinder e30 which is really difficult to make sound good. The sound isn't much louder than stock but it is definitely more aggressive and a bit throaty which is definitely better and it sounds wonderful in person. I've had quite a few people ask me what kind of exhaust I have on my car and they are always surprised to hear it's a muffler off of Amazon for the low price that it is. I give this Muffler an A+ and I will definitely purchase it in the future if I ever get another four-cylinder e30. Shipping and packaging get was great too, the box was 100% undamaged and the muffler came earlier than expected. Great seller!

Drones just as bad as straight pipe
Build quality seems okay for the price. It is quiet as stock but man it drones like flower master mufflers. Might get rid of them with how bad the drone is.

Perfect sound
I have a 63 Mercury Comet with a 302, 351 Trick Flow heads with Headman headers. Dual exhaust out to the rear. I had Flow Master 40s, too loud and trash can tone. Then I tried Magnaflows, did not like how they sounded when I stepped on it. Like a Harley Davidson on my tail. Read many reviews and watched lots of videos to make my decision for Dynomax Super Turbos. Louder than stock but wont piss the neighbors off. Awesome low rumble tone in idle and sound great when you punch it.

An awesome sounding muffler, even on 4 and 6 cylinder engines!
It makes my 3.1L V6 sound like a V8, especially at idle and lower RPM's, but it also sounds great throughout the rev range. I listened to many examples of mufflers on youtube (with good speakers) and in person when possible and I concluded this muffler was not only the best sounding, producing a lower pitch "rumbly" sound than even an open exhaust pipe, but it doesn't drone on the freeway. I think it is an excellent value as well, priced well below products from Magnaflow or Flowmaster. Since my objective wasn't a test of horsepower, and truly putting a different muffler on your car can never "add" more horsepower, it can only free up what the engine potentially can make, and a completely unrestricted design like a flow-through muffler (or open pipes) may actually hurt the performance of an engine because of not providing enough back pressure to help scavenge exhaust gases from the cylinder heads, I was more about the sound and preventing a drone in continuous driving. This muffler is nearly perfect in those respects. I may have desired a slightly louder muffler, but I'll sacrifice not having a drone on the freeway where this car is driven regularly to enjoy my stereo better. And part of that my be due to my resonator style exhaust tip since it was a bit louder for the week I drove it without the tip. As for wear and tear, I've only had this muffler on the car for a month, but for the price if I need I can buy a new one if this didn't hold up for 10 years like a stainless steel version might. But, seriously, this is a great value muffler for the money - I highly recommended it. Check out the youtube videos to see how a pair of these sound even better on a V8.
