If you have boys and they like to fight, I'd recommend that you watch them with this.Edges are pointy enough to where if someone swings it even at medium speed it will cause damage.More of a decorative piece/ cos play/ than children under 8 in my opinion.

I bought this for my son as he wanted it as a birthday present since he loves Minecraft. While I still don't understand Minecraft, he loves using it around the house and having (imaginary) sword fights. It's a sturdy sword and light enough that it shouldn't do too much damage. At the end of the day, great price and a cute gift for Minecraft lovers.
