Square D Pumptrol Pressure switch for compressed air compressor 9013FHG12J52M1X 95-125 psi With Unloader & On/Off Lever (Paks)

This product is actually made by Schneider and sold under the Télémécanique brand name. There are no new Square D switches. The one I bought was made in Mexico. It works ok. There are 2 spring adjustments but no instructions. The electrical screws as found were way too tight and I had to use an impact driver to loosen, and destroying one screw in the process. Upon close inspection the red grease was just stuck near the moving parts and not actually ON the moving parts. I re-greased the switch using AeroShell bearing grease. Quality appears to be ok but I don't expect it to last 50 years like the old one did.

Works great better than overseas parts,worked on an 90s 20 gallon compressor. You dont necessarily have to remove the old one just tap into tank pressure then, hook up power to the motor .

This pressure switch is well made and works fine. The reason I couldn't give it five stars is that the electrical connection screws were torqued so tightly that I bent one tab and partially stripped the screw heads loosening them. I used both straight and Phillips screwdrivers of the right size to finally break them free. I don't have an impact driver; that may have worked better. I was able to bend the bent tab back into position and re-align the switch contact. There is no wiring diagram in the cover, but included documentation showed LINE MOTOR MOTOR LINE. The switch turns off at 120 PSI and starts at 90 PSI. The pressure relief valve works fine and dumps quickly. It would be nice if they included a sticker showing OFF ↑ AUTO ↓, as the labels on the cover are small.

Set up was easy works like it should. And a whole lot cheaper than going through Ingersoll rand, to get this part that failed two months after I bought the air compressor. This is my second one of these that I've had on this compressor the first one failed after 10 years from contact burning. But I would buy it again without hesitation.

The item arrived on time and in good condition, though the switch and cover had come free from the manufacturer's box and were rolling around in the shipping envelope. No big deal, nothing was damaged. I received one of the units which did NOT have the Square D logo on it (as mentioned in other reviews), but I knew that the company name on it was affiliated with Schneider Electric, the company whom acquired Square D back in the 90's. The item was authentic and made of good construction. The lever to toggle between Auto/Off is a bit flimsy, but when you have the cover attached, it's more rigid and reliable. It fit and installed easily, and functioned properly when checked by a pressure gauge. The electrical contact bridges that open/close the connection are a bit wobbly due to the weak spring that holds them in place, so I can believe the reviews claiming melted contacts due to electricity arcing. I don't experience significant arcing when the contact opens since my product is still new, but I'll be mindful of it in the future.

Good product

I bought it used from Amazon and I'm not sure why someone returned it or didn't want it. It was in the original packaging, just with some extra tape on it. I installed on my air compressor, the day that I got it, adjusted it to a higher pressure that my compressor required and it works perfectly. Kicks on when needed and kicks off where I wanted it to. The unloader works perfectly as well. If your air compressor pump doesn't have a decompressor built in the head, you definitely need a pressure switch with an unloader valve, like this one has. The on off lever is super convenient. I would definitely recommend this switch. My old boss had a square d switch on his Quincy air compressor from the 1980's and never had an issue, that's why I chose this brand
