Quiet, well designed, effective - NOTE it is beneficial to flip the wicking filter regularly
After having our house too dry (30%) this unit keeps our upstairs (1,500 ft2) at our chosen humidity (45/50%) level with the unit set at the lowest setting, and the humidistat set to only running the unit about half the time. VERY EFFECTIVE. Easy to refill. Great humidifier!Someone asked about the need to clean this thing. In my case it requires very little cleaning. Externally it collects dust like everything else. Internally, it probably would depend on the level of purity of the water you use with it. The only actual effort I have to put to maintain it properly (beside keeping up with the water level) is to flip the wicking filter. The first 6 months, I did not do that because I did not understand the value of doing this. The wicking filter if not reverse regularly, starts to dry up on top. The dried up part stops wicking, and this is irreversible. It is like if its become dead in a way. Once this process has started it keep ongoing until the wick becomes so ineffective that it must be replaced. By flipping the wicking filter regularly (I would recommend a minimum of twice a week. Once every day would be ideal. ...the wicking filter will remain efficient for a much longer period of time.

great product
I've tried many types, this is by far the best. will easily humidify basement multiroom 900+ sqft and depending on your furnace location, will add humidity to the top floor as well. Fill daily for dry areas. be sure to replace the diffuser pads and use the blue purification balls. clean seasonally.

Works great
This Honeywell humidifier was bought to replace a similar one that we had for 4 years. It works great. Automatic shutoff, fan setting and setting for more or less humidity works fine. Never had an issue of it leaking or overflowing. Probably user error. Runs fairly quiet but louder on high speed. This is a straight forward simple to use unit. Fills from the sink easily. Our humidity level in the house adjusts accordingly as to what you set the dial at. Sure there is no % reading on the unit. Just buy a hygrometer for $5 and go from there to adjust it to your liking. Ours is now a consistent 35-39%. No more static shocks. It works great. Just prepare to fill it up every few days as it can go through the water in the reservoirs pretty fast, especially in drier winter months.

Great humidifier!
I have another Honeywell humidifier, this one is a sister to it. It looks great in the room, and I have to fill it every day because the air is so dry. It works great! Easy assembly.

So far it been a great whole house humidifier with no mist or dust
We purchased this humidifier in Feb 2022 after enduring really dry Winter conditions in our house that our built-in furnace unit just couldn't keep up with. So, we're about 1 month into using it and it's been doing a really good job.Things we like:1. Pretty good looking design makes it ok to leave in our living areas (compared to other very ugly ones on the market)2. Multiple speeds are really good to adjust the levels, and at the lowest speed it's barely audible in the room. This last point makes it easy to leave running anytime of the day and in the living room without really bothering anyone.3. The filters are pretty easy to install / change and they're available on Amazon and other retailers at a decent price.4. The 2 water tanks are also pretty easy to use, and because they're smaller -- they don't get too heavy when filled.5. The adjustable humidity levels seem to work very well, though we did add a couple of Acurite humidity monitors in the house to verify what levels we're at.And this is probably the one thing that we don't like: no digital read out on the humidity level, means you do have to adjust the dial until you find you're at the level you want. It seems like this would be a pretty simple design addition. We did also add some felt sliders to the bottom as this sits on hardwood floors in our main room, but overall we're pretty pleased with the performance so far and recommend this as a good solution.
