Yacon Syrup
I liked the thought that this will help with bone density, metabolism, and immune system and thought I'd try it. While I did feel an increase in energy when I took it by teaspoon three times a day, I found the taste too bold to use as a sugar substitute for pancakes, tea, or coffee. What comes to mind when trying to describe taste is mixing 3/4 cup of black strap molasses and 1/4 cup melted milk chocolate. Swallow a teaspoon of it and the long lasting aftertaste alone will result in eating less for a couple hours. If you take this as recommended, a teaspoon three times a day, I can understand how this results in weight loss. In addition, it seemed to warm me up and sweat quicker which is great if I'm working out, yet not if I am on my way to social function. This is good for recipes that call for molasses such as baked beans, barbecue sauce, cookies, marble cake, ginger snaps, or gingerbread.

My new sugar and Spleda replacement!
I love the taste of this syrup and the fact that I am able to quit Splenda or sugar in my morning coffee and tea. I am not so sure about the claims of weight loss but I do know that it has been a great help to my digestive system. As other reviewers have mentioned, this syrup does seem to collect as thick goo at the bottom of the bottle. With my 1st bottle I barely got through a 1/3 of the bottle before the rest had settled at the bottom and I had to run the bottle under some hot water so I could use the rest of the bottle. By the time I received my 2nd bottle I kept the bottle standing upside down and when I would use it in the morning just squeeze the syrup into my coffee cup. This way I was able to use the whole bottle. As far as taste is concerned I guess to me it tastes like molasses/pancake syrup. I personally love it and do not feel it took away from the taste of the coffee I was drinking. Also, after my first bottle, the company sent me a15% coupon towards my next bottle which I thought was great. On the down side of that it seems that this product is only available sometimes since most of the time it says "currently unavailable" .

Don't expect a magic potion
This product did not come close to meeting my expectation,I would recommend losing weight the old fashion way, dieting and exercise I believe you would achieve your goal that way then using this overpriced supplement.

Delicious!
Delicious, sweet, dark taste. I love it in hot tea with a few drops of liquid stevia to add "top end" sweetness. Out of the bottle, it is like molasses. One note of caution: you WILL need to stir this before you can use it. There is a lot of sediment in the bottom of the container, and it will be very hard to stir, but worth it in the end. I warm it under hot tap water for several minutes and then stir it with the handle of a long iced tea spoon. I find that stirring it like this once when it arrives and then shaking it well before each use keeps it from re-settling.I have ordered several brands of yacon syrup from different vendors for comparison. I have found that many of them seem to be using the exact same syrup in the exact same bottles, and all have similar statements ("GMP", "FDA inspected", "made in USA") on their respective labels. I suspect a single manufacturer is out there, selling bulk syrup and brown plastic bottles to independent supplement vendors who in turn bottle it and have their own custom labels made up.BRI's product appears to be one of these supplement vendors. Not that I care - they all have the same delicious product. But why did I give BRI 5 stars? They appear to have good customer service, having sent me a welcome e-mail when they saw that my order had been delivered. Also, of the 5 brands I've tried that appear to all be selling the same syrup, BRI's bottles were the most full. In supposedly 8 fl oz bottles, the BRI bottles weighed 246 grams, or just over 8 oz (which comes close to 8 fl oz, given the density of the syrup and the weight of the bottle). One brand was only 201 grams, and another brand, though cheaper, had even less than that. BRI has the second-lowest cost I've seen out there. So, I will be buying BRI. Not just because they give you more product for your money than most of the others, but because they actually appear to live up to the "Good Manufacturing Practices" claims they make on their label.

Tastes Great. Excellent Sweetener. Could Use a Packaging Change
I'm really enjoying yacon syrup. I just switch it out one to one with honey or other sweeteners in my coffee, and have even been putting it in my matcha tea. I've used it on pancakes and even in a recipe using acorn squash. The flavor seems pretty neutral with everything and no aftertaste, no chemical flavors and no artificial taste at all. My only complaint is the packaging. I didn't read carefully and shake it before use, and the solids tend to settle in the bottom, making a hardened mass that one can't get out. If you turn it upside down overnight, a little will come out and it's SO good, it tastes like caramel sauce, but it's so hard to get out I resorted to adding warm water and shaking the bottle vigorously each time I needed to use it. I'd suggest a wide mouthed pot for a package, rather than a jar with a narrow mouth.

So much solid goop in the bottle it is unusable ...
So much solid goop in the bottle it is unusable. I put some in my coffee when I first opened the bottle. It literally congealed in my coffee.I've used other brands and they product is liquid, and no congealing. This purchase was a mistake.

It does not say ORGANIC anywhere on the label. ...
It does not say ORGANIC anywhere on the label. It says NATURAL. I have yet to use it to make up my mind if the ingredients are as they state. False advertisement is a real turn off to me.

Didn't work for me
I tried this product for about a week to 10 days, and I felt it did nothing for me, other reviews on Amazon really love this product, and that's great, but honestly I saw no benefit,
