Made up some fishing rod holders, worked out good

The opening is too wide to securely contain small fresh water rods. I compensated by mounting the clips at a 60 degree angle as seen in the accompanying photo. The vertical opening is now zero inches but the ears of the clip are pliable allowing insertion of the rods.

I purchased these to mount my rods on the ceiling of my lania but they won't hold a rod & reel mounted this way because the gaps are to wide and the clips are not very strong. Guess I'll have to find some other use for them. Even when mounting vertically I don't think they would hold very well unless you have very thick rods (like maybe salt water rods)

This product comes from China and it took about a month to arrive. The clips appear to be well made and are substantial... expect them to work great to store fishing gear in my garage wall. I am very pleased with the purchase since I now have the clips in hand. I would purchase these again, but I would need to understand it will not be a ultra fast delivery. UPS, USPS and FedEx have spoiled us to expect purchases to arrive in a week at most?

Works perfect. I suggest just putting one screw in the clip so you can twist the clip to lock in your rod.
