Air Lift 60905 1000 Universal Air Spring Kit

I bought these on a recommendation from a TDI club I’m in online. I use a VW Jetta to haul our business goods to/from craft shows. Between the trailer & the displays & tables that go in & on top of the car, it was sagging bad in the back. Granted, the car was never actually designed for what I use it for however it handles it well. I installed a set of these and what a difference they made! Still rides like a car when unloaded and when fully loaded, still rides like a car but without sagging in the rear. The material is very thick so installing them inside the springs was a bit of a challenge but well worth the effort. Have had them in now for about 8 months. Inspected them last time I had it on the lift. No signs of wear at all. Would I recommend these? Hell yes!

Put these on my 2019 Rav4 hybrid XSE. I often carry some gear in the back, put bike on back or tow 1000lb camper (150lbs tongue weight). Factory springs would sag with nearly anything in the back (even with my XSE "sport" springs which are soft and not at all designed for cargo). Changed my rear springs to Eibach 1.5" lift springs (proper height springs if you carry passengers or any gear regularly in the trunk). These Eibach springs are slightly stiffer then factory ones but far from stiff. Air bags help stiffen suspension when towing, carrying gear in trunk, have bike on back of car or if you want sportier suspension feel and handling. Unloaded in town I keep air bags at 15-20psi. When towing my 1000lb camper + gear in trunk air bags work great at 30 psi. * Tip: when installing air bags (when pushing air out of air bags and putting them into hot dog bun shape) use zip ties to pinch them extra tight so they're easier to push between the springs. Then cut the zip ties once inside the springs. I have my air valve facing down which works well. No drilling required.

I used this item for Mazda CX-8(in Japan). Trailer tongue weight is 165kg(364pounds). Before I use Air Lift 1000, the rear suspension had a lot of up and down movement, making the ride uncomfortable. However, after installing the air lift, the ride became more comfortable, almost like when there was no trailer attached. This is a highly recommended product.
