Very well packed and fast delivery
Needed more carboys as my primary fermentation was almost done. Ordered 3 of these instead of 1 3 gallon so i could do more micro brews in the future. First of all awesome job on the packing. I see so many other places that ship broken carboys due to how they are handled in shipping. It would have taken a lot of force for these to have broke the way they were packed. The 2 piece airlocks are just as good as you would get at any home brew store. Plastic so be gentle when inserting them or they can break they work just as intended. Good quality glass on the carboys. Will definitely be buying again as needed. Shipping was super fast just under 3 days once the order was placed.

Great for micro batches - everything worked/fit perfectly.
Perfect glass carboy/jug for doing micro batches. Pictured is a one gallon batch of apple wine. (Wine made from store bought apple juice, champagne yeast, yeast nutrient, and table sugar) It turned out great and fermented in about five days. I've seen some reviews saying the bung was incorrect. Mine came with a 6.5# pre-drilled rubber bung and a single piece airlock. The bung fit perfectly and didn't pop out because I know how to properly use them. If yours is popping out, its due to either the bung or the inside of the jug being wet or both. You need to dry them off. If the bung doesn't fit, ensure it's a 6.5# (sometimes written as a 65) and not a #6 or #7. Also, you can wrap a string or rubberband around the airlock and the handle to keep the bung in place if it wants to keep popping out. Pictured is a three piece airlock I bought separately. I prefer the 3-piece for easy of cleaning. Great buy.

Great for small batches!
I love using this for mead making. I do small batches on the regular, and they hold up great. The caps and airlocks are easy to find here on Amazon, they work for what we need, and you can get some great results out of a jug like this.

Quality jug but awkward stopper
The glass jug is nice and sturdy. The rubber stopper fits the glass opening well. But it's a little tricky getting the twin bubble airlock properly inserted into the hole and make it stay seated without eventually squeezing itself out and leaking air. The air lock does its job though if you can get it shoved in the hole deeply enough to stay properly. The bubbler is a bit tricky to thoroughly clean and sterilize internally and get it emptied back out of both chambers. But I have successfully made 2 separate batches of of fermented juices with yeast and sugar resulting in fairly high proof within a week or week and a half.

Bought this particular one because it included the cap
I confess, I bought this particular jug package solely for the black polycap that came with it. I'm using the pretty 1.75L New Amsterdam gin bottles for my secondary kombucha ferments and wanted to see if that particular cap would fit them for a tighter seal and so I don't have to use the ratty old aluminum screw-ons, thinking if it did I could order a bulk package of the polycaps. I knew I'd use the jug and the airlock at any rate, and the price was right, so I bought it. The bad news is the cap doesn't work with my New Amsterdam bottles (if anyone has found one that does, please let me know!), but that saved me from chancing ordering a bag of the caps that I then wouldn't have been able to use. The good news is, this is a great contained quality kit with everything I need to brew and store a gallon of "boozy booch," which I intend to try soon. An excellent purchase.

Working as intended
Ordered 2, they came in very quickly, nothing missing for me. I am currently using the first one to ferment a batch of mead, so I haven't had them for very long. Can't comment yet on the ease of cleaning, but I did want to point out that for the people stating the bungs are too big, this will always be the case, no matter where you buy them from, unless you buy smaller ones. Use a rubber band, string, or velcro strips to keep it on. Lastly, my first batch did need a blowoff tube, and when I bought the fermtech mini auto-siphon, the tubing fit perfectly into the bung. Not that it will not be easy to get the tubing into the bung and you'll have to use a bit of force, but it makes for a tight fit.

Awesome brewing jug
This 1 gallon jug is perfect for brewing the ginger beer that I like to do every month or so. It has plenty of room volumetrically to take care of a batch. I have to buy the additional airlock, which I did wish came with the jug but it’s not that expensive. I only spent around $20 for the set up which wasn’t a bad price all things considered

Thick and sturdy
We use these to rack our elderberry wine every fall. We also have one on the shelf that doubles as a piggy bank for all our loose change. They are well made and sturdy and a good price. You will need a long bottle brush with a slight bend in it to clean these. Use hot water and soap and rinse well. Use a sani-rinse or boiling water to sanitize.

“GREAT EQUIPMENT”
I ordered two of these and they are great, especially if you like or need to brew in smaller batches. I use this equipment to brew one gallon batches of wine at a time. I purchased two units…I use one for the Primary stage in brewing and the second unit I use for the secondary stage with involves the finishing process of the brew. Good equipment!

Missing rubber caps
Description says shipped with 6 rubber caps with a hole. Only one is in the box. Everything else is ok., plastic cap was not broken. Looks like a good product.
