Q: Can you disconnect the pump and use pack as regular bladder to save space at times?

Yes, you just unclick the pump from the quick disconnect port to the air chamber. The hand pump is normally outside the pack (so you can pressurize the bladder as the water level decreases) so I'm not sure how it would save space, but if you find the pump to be in the way and you don't want to use it, it disconnects very easily.

Q: Is there a way to hang this bladder in backpacks vs having it just go to the bottom?

Yes. Most backpacks have a small strap with a clip on it that can secure the bladder into place. Any backpack made to hold a bladder should have a way to do that.

Q: Does anyone know if this will fit in the side pouch of the vanquest ibex30?

Hi Michael,According to the dimensions of the Hydration Pocket we were able to find online, it appears it will fit. Although due to the fact that the pocket is tapered at the top, the 2L Engine would be a better fit as it is shorter in length.We hope this was helpful.Thanks,Aquamira
