Masquerade and the Nameless Women Paperback – 29 January 2019

Before reading this book I had read the first two novels from his other series Maria and the Box. Interestingly enough the style of this novel is completely different. In this novel Eiji Mikage style was quite elegant and stylish, and the characterization was pretty nice.The story was very entertaining and I found that the idea of knowing full well who is Masquerade from the beginning gives a nice perspective in the duration of the novel. By himself I found him to be an interesting character and by far the one who steals the show.The main character was only good enough, but nothing to really write home about. Still since she was always accompanied by other character that ends up not being that much of a con.The novel itself was very aesthetic, but not very sturdy. I believe it wouldn't stand too much damage, but it does the work.

A story within a story and nothing really is what is seems it is.

I waited so long to have this book in my hands. I love a good mystery story and oh wow did this deliver. I'm a fan of Eiji Mikage's other work, The Empty Box and Zeroth Maria, and this was even better than that.
