Comfortable Stability
I have severe pain in my right ankle due to osteoarthritis and loss of the meniscus. The full lace-up feature makes a real difference in setting the level of secure support. The under heel, wrap-around Velcro straps really hold and provide additional support. Finally, the ankle wrap secures everything into a unified whole. I've tried several other ankle supports, and this is the most comfortable and effective.

Great Brace
I badly sprained/rolled my ankle. After the swelling went down and constant icing, I purchased several braces for recovery, one with rigid plastic supports and one with just nylon straps (a McDavid). After a week I had ditched the plastic support model in favor of the straps...but it didnโt fit well and was uncomfortable when tightened down. Then I found and bought this ASO, which has accurate sizing chart and models that accommodate wide large feet. I am a 14.5 US Menโs in a E wide, and have a high volume foot. The ASO fits me very well. I can lace it up right comfortably and have just the right length of webbing to tighten the straps down firmly. Itโs almost odd how much it stabilizes the ankle for walking pivoting etc, given that the range of motion is still very good and itโs so thin it easily fits into my shoes. 4 weeks after the injury, I have started mountain biking again (on flats, for now), skied a few days taking it easy, and normal activities...all wearing this brace. The only caution I have is around ankle to foot ratio. My foot is long wide and high volume, and my ankle is large, but not huge and thick like some guys whoโs calf seems to run straight into their ankle bone. This brace on me laces up with tolerance plus and minus all the to the top two eyelets where the tolerance goes to near zero at the top eyelet...almost touching. Any closer and I would have had to try the next size down. Definitely buy it again and recommend.

Solid support, complicated setup
I got a pair of these for a vacation to Italy, which is famously a country where visitors walk a lot. With collapsed arches, my physical therapist suggested that something to support the ankle might help to avoid further damage and symptoms. The braces definitely enabled me to walk a lot more with less pain, but at the end of a long day, getting them off my feet was a complicated process, involving undoing two velcroed straps that wrapped around the ankle, then another velcro band around the front, and finally untying and loosening laces.

How well it works.
This is the single best purchase Iโve made. I wear size 13 shoes l. Ordered XL. Itโs not only is the right size but with the laces I can get the brace real tight or as tight as I want it. The Velcro straps keep everything tight. The bone in my leg that goes into my foot, the tibia grinds in its socket. This brace nearly eliminates the problem. If I twist I can make the joint click but normal use for walking etc, it works great. Doctors have told me I need my foot rebuilt so to speak. This should keep the joint from wearing out thus no surgery!

Good support, but I got one that did not stay together.
It does the job, good brace. However after wearing it for about 1 week. The stitching is letting go.

Might as well buy an elastic wrap and save the money.
This product at almost $35 and from my experience is not any better than slip on version of what we referred to as an ace elastic wrap bandage. This "brace" was simply a lace up sock with elastic wrap strips that allowed a figure 8 wrap. The same figure 8 wrap that would be used with an ace bandage at a cost of under $5. There was no rigid support whatsoever to give stability to the ankle. The straps were inconveniently placed via an attachment on the brace that was basically in the way of a wrap around strap that encircled the upper part of the ankle. Again, to repeat, none of these straps were able to provide stable support for the ankle as a whole any better than an ace elastic bandage.

Well made, good instructions and works
This one works! Most of this type of ankle support seem to follow the same basic design. This ASO brand is large enough. Easy to get on a sore ankle, and enough adjustment to really do the job. I have had to return a few. This one stays. Good quality construction.

Prodotto valido
ottimo prodotto ma la misura corretta รฉ difficile da trovare, le indicazioni del venditore per trovare la misura giusta sono un po' fuorvianti... consiglio una taglia in meno

Totally of no use to me
Actually this ankle stabiliser is completely useless to me as it did not come with the metal stays that stabilises the ankle. It is gathering dust. Very disappointed in this purchase.
