Longray SP8A Stainless Steel Sprayer, 2 Gallon, Metallic

I bought the Longray SP6A pressure sprayer. This sprayer is all metal except the hose. It appears to be a robust and very well made unit that has every feature you could want. An easily accessed and cleaned filter in the spray valve to minimize debris from reaching the nozzle, a pressure release valve, a pressure gauge, a shraeder valve to permit pressurizing with a separate bicycle pump, if you prefer a bike pumps longer stroke to the necessarily shorter stroke of the built in pump. It comes well packaged in a sturdy box. It is very easy to assemble the hose to the pressure canister and the spray valve and wand. No tools required. Mine came missing one O ring in one end of the hose. I found one in the bag of spare O rings and gaskets that came with unit and installed the spare. That process is worth a mention here. I called Longray when I detected a loss of pressure in my initial test of the unit. At Longray, a live person answers their phone and provides immediate and knowledgeable support. He assisted me in testing and diagnosing the cause, which took all of about 5 minutes, we found the missing O ring in the hose connection and I was immediately able to replace it from the spares included with the unit. A subsequent long pressure test of the unit, 3/4 full of water, Still ongoing, at 52 PSI,(the top of the green zone on the pressure gauge) has shown no sign of any pressure loss, after over half an hour. If you buy this product, Longrays support of their products, and the quality of the experience of dealing with a company that actually cares what their customers think of them, could prove to be worth as much to you as the utility of the unit itself. I am pretty sure I will have and use this product for a very long time, provided no one runs over it with a truck.

WOW! I rarely review products, though I will on exceptionally god and bad products. This is a GREAT product! I had often wanted a spray pump with a Schrader valve so I could use air compressor to fill. I even tried making one myself out of an old SS sprayer, but failed! I am so impressed with the build quality, finish, ease of use. This is the BOMB! To be fair, I’ve only had it for a day, and only gone through two cans of Roundup, but the build quality and finish are so impressive that I have no qualms recommending this product!

This is my second stainless steel sprayer. I was very happy with my last one as it never rusted, never leaked and functioned very well for many years... and still works well. I got the second one because I've got a non-compatible second material to spread... so I won't contaminate both. I spent a LONG time trying to find my old model... it's no longer made. This one is the closest I could find to my old one... at least with the details I could get online. This one however... is a Cadillac compared to my old one. The whole thing except seals and hose is metal (there was still some plastic parts on my old one). The handle must weigh twice as much. The nozzle looks like a solidly build scientific instrument compared to the little brass fitting on the old one. This one has a pressure gauge that the old one doesn't have, it has stainless steel wand holder (the old one had a plastic holder that kept the want horizontal across the top... taking up lots of space), the pump internals are metal (plastic on the old one) and the pressure relief valve (which the old one didn't have) is a solid, sturdy brass fitting.

This 1.5 gallon sprayer has just about everything I need for a pest control technician the shoulder strap is sturdy for the weight of the liquid and the nozzle spray is strong. It does take a lot of pumping to get it into the green zone, but I do love the fact that they put a pressure gauge on it to begin with because my last one did not have one and it was hard to tell when it was too strong or not strong enough. With this one, I can pump it to the maximum green level and spray the inside of an entire six bedroom house without pumping required at all Only reason I’m not giving it five out of five stars is too many times when I block the handle in and turn it left to pump it. It ends up, turning too much to the left, opening up and popping straight up, depending on how much pressure is in so be careful with that part cause it blew my glasses off my face. Other than that, it has simple directions to put together. Make sure that everything is tight and oiled with WD-40., it can take a few tumbles, but I wouldn’t be too careless with it as I’ve had several of these start to act finicky after a while.

I bought this thinking with the viton seals I could use it for spraying my stamped concrete with a solvent based sealer as pros use on YOUTUBE videos to get a consistent nice spray and a long term high quality sprayer for future projects instead of using cheap “throw aways”. NOPE. The unit looks nice & has the features other more expensive models do but didn’t even last through half of my home patio 25’ x 50’ project. Lost or would not hold pressure long. Ended up using a “throw away”plastic model to complete the job. The Worst part i of the story s there are no replacement seals gaskets available to rebuild it and use for lawn & garden or other non solvent based home projects going forward. Seal kit was listed but is “No Longer Available / no idea when “ . Manipulating the pump handle in & out of the canister for refilling or opening requires constant “fiddling”. I should have returned it immediately when I noticed that but was under the gun to get the project done for a planned party. Thought I would spend big dollars and get PRO like equipment to do the job better, faster, more professionally, but wasted money and added frustration to what should have been a simple project. Super disappointed back in 2022 when purchased and reminded of it again this year again (spring May 2024) as I look to try to repair it or throw away the memory with the other plastics. I hope to save others the same journey. Should the manufacturer repair it , replace it or at a minimum offer to sell me available replacement parts, I will update my review accordingly.

Love this sprayer. It’s well made and stainless inside and out. I first bought the cheaper models on here and the pump rod was not stainless which was a problem. This one is completely stainless. It has a very well made tip also. The spray control is great from feet fine mist to a long stream. I can’t remember the exact distance but it was between 15 and 20 ft. I like the fact that the hose is rubber and not the cheap hose that rots fast like on other models. This one is all around the way to go. Definitely worth the extra money

I waited to write my review because I’m tired of buying things that work great for a few months then die. I purchased this all stainless steel spray in August of 2017. After over a year and a half of using this thing sometime going through 3-4 refills a day when using it for weed and bush control, I can say it’s the only one I have that still works. I purchased this one and two much more expensive ones. The electric one wand broke two different times and it’s now garage wall art. The other so called all metal sprayer I purchased broke on me two months after buying it while pumping up the pressure. Guts of the pump were not all metal!!! This spray has been dropped, fallen off the golf cart, used so many times I can’t count and had everything from weed and tree mixtures to insecticide run through it. I fully back it to the point I’m buying another one right now so I can use one just for insects and the other for weed mix

This is a great, high quality product! I use this to mist down my reptile enclosure and it performed very well. I only keep water in this and it is filled most of the time. It is very sturdy and easy to assemble and works great. The fine mist is nice and light and the straight stream is powerful (with enough pressure) so it's very versatile. The only con for me is it is a little difficult to clean inside of it with such a small opening, but it being stainless steel and smooth on the inside just filling it up with soap and water (or whatever cleaner you use) does the job.

The only thing that is not metal is the hose & seals. Used it the day it was delivered. Worked flawlessly. I like other fact that I can pressurize it with my compressor and air hose. Went through lots of the plastic sprayers that only lasted a short time before breaking. Had a painted metal sprayer that lasted 2 seasons before the plastic pump stopped working. This has an all metal stainless steel pump and looks like it will last many years. I will do an update at the end of the season but for now I’m very satisfied with my purchase. Oh yea I almost forgot, it’s the best looking sprayer I ever owned.

I bought lots of sprayers but this one is the best one. I would buy it again.
