I got this so that when I’m out of town I can check on my home, before getting this stand the camera just faced up at the ceiling but now I can tilt it to where it overlooks the entire room.

I love that the Echo stand raises my Echo Spot higher. The best addition to the Echo Spot, recommended!

Does exactly what is needed in a stand.

Instead of the Spot just sitting on the top of the dresser, it is nice to be able to put it up higher and face it down a bit to see the clock. The stand holds it pretty good by use of a magnet and a piece that fits into the spot. Of course if you bang against it, it can fall off but it don't fall with slight movement. I am able to move it and dust without it falling off. It has a limited range of motion before it does fall off, for example you can't face it completely up so it is looking straight above at the celling or straight down to face the floor (then again, why would anyone want to) but as I said, it is perfect for being either at the bedside and tilted up a bit or on the dresser so I can tilt it down to see the clock. In the photo is about how high it can 'look' up and the other photo shows how it fits together and remember that it is also a magnet holding the base to the spot.

Gave this to my fiance for Christmas. He was looking for it at the Amazon store, but it wasn't there, only online. He wanted something to elevate our Echo, and it really made a difference in viewing the time.

I still love my echo spot up to date. Its fast and smaller footprint. The stand works as described. I highly recommend this riser.
