SkechersMen's Selmen-Enago 66275 Low Profile Waterproof Lace Up

This is actually the second pair I've bought, since I ran the first pair into the ground over 3 or 4 years. You can see how hard I worked these from the picture. I use them mainly as a hiking shoe for dog walking, and for home and yard maintenance. They're comfortable, and don't rub my ankles right out of the box like other boots I've tried. Most importantly, I can slip them on and off without lacing them which is SO important to me since I'm coming in and out of the house a lot. They lasted a long time and I was happy to get another pair.

These shoes are ideal for me, from a fit and comfort perspective. They’re adequately comfortable, durable and prevent overpronation due to misaligned knees. I see some don’t care for the stiffness of the shoe, but it helps provide better stability for me due to neuropathy. These shoes don’t allow my feet to move around excessively, making me feel in control and more confident in my balance. The only negative is the lack of availability of a light tan or grey color for casual summer wear. The available option to chocolate is a combination tan/grey and black shoe that’s “clunky” and “teenager-ish” looking in the summer, according to my girlfriend. I agree. A solid, light tan or grey would be make the shoes appropriate for everyday wear.

I ordered a 12 wide and they fit perfect. These are good shoes, with rugged outsoles and memory foam insoles. They seem durable and I have put them to the test on some steep, rocky trail hikes. My only complaint is the break in period. I took them for a walk right out of the box, and it was a bit uncomfortable. The toe box bends and creases a bit uncomfortably across the top of my foot. I softened the crease by bending it manually many times and working it with my hands. They are much more comfortable now and I am glad I purchased them. As with many shoes, I do recommend giving yourself time to break them in.

I wanted a cheap pair of shoes for yard work and walking the dog. These shoes work okay. The tops are fabric material and the soles are thicker. I think they work okay for mowing. I like the thicker feel of the soles. However, I would not use these shoes for serious camping or hiking. Can't really comment on the waterproof qualities because my town is in a 2 month dry spell. Also, I agree with the other reviews in that the laces do not stay tied. I don't know what kind of synthetic materials that skechers use for the laces, but none of my skechers shoes can stay tied. I wish they would fix that.

I am somewhat disappointed with these shoes. I generally love my Sketchers, but these are heavy and stiffer than any Sketchers I've bought before. Also, strangely, the right tounge seems shorter and wants to retreat into the shoe when wearing allowing the laces to contact my ankle.

I like Skechers to begin with as I've had good luck with all my purchases. Particular this one. Eight years of service! The shoes stayed comfortable, waterproof abd stable as day one.I worked as a Maintenance Manager for a large community with a golf course, 3000 people and 3 lakes. Very busy doing every type of job. Plus all the work I do at home. No better shoes! I wish they still made these and I wish I knew what replaced them. Cheers!

*Update: added pic and changed to 1 star from 2—please believe all those stating same thing about these shoes AND customer service. I too tried to give Skechers last attempt at my future biz, and same story as others - the quality was as bad as this shoe’s quality* I blame myself for buying these 3 different times with same issue developing - 1 year or less, each time, sole begins to separate from bottom. I don't even use these for hiking. I walk my dog with them! Loved and needed the extra wide. Loved and needed the "waterproof". HATE that I have given Sketchers this number of chances with these shoes....right on time, before fall season, sole has separated from shoe and need to buy new ones - I promise they won't be these Skechers types again.

Están bien y buena calidad pero son pesados y estoy acostumbrado a skechers para caminar. Termino con los pies cansados pero creo que solo falta acostumbrarme a ellos.

Son muy cómodos y seguros al caminar en todo terreno los recomiendo
