motherboard arrived with faulty component. got fixed instead of replaced, now motherboard is dead
If you search on internet for Supermicro motherboards that fail to POST after reboot, you will find several cases. Like mine, this motherboard seems to be working fine until you try to reboot, then it does not finish to POST.I am in japan so I sent it to Supermicro Taiwan, me paying for delivery and import tax on return for RMA. They acknowledge that "UM2" was the problem and got replaced. Upon arrival I tested on my work-bench and the PSU shuts down itself as soon as I plug it in. Great, now the motherboard is in short-circuit. Now I am trying to get _another_ RMA and they are asking me silly questions like:- "Are you using supported RAM memory?"- "Are fan moving when you power-on?While I told them that the motherboard is in short-circuit.Imagine someone ask you "how was the dinner at that restaurant?" while you are telling them they never gave me a table.Worst experience ever.I remember 10 years ago, I had a WD raptor disk failed, asked for RMA and WDC me FREE OF CHARGE another NEW disk before I event sent the broken one. Supermicro: learn from them.

Two bad boards in a row!!!
I've been trying to build this computer for a month. The first motherboard I received had a bad DIMM channel, so half of he RAM slots were unusable. I RMA'd that, but that seller didn't have any more in stock. So, I came to Amazon and bought another one. This one is having the same issue another 1-star reviewer here described: Won't POST after reboot (even on save and exit in BIOS). The only way to get it to start again is to pull PSU cables from the motherboard and plug them back in. SuperMicro is slowly driving me insane with their quality control issues.

just arranging RMA on second motherboard
The first motherboard was DOA, no lights at all. Second one worked for three months and today the NICs and SATA have died. Supermicro will only do a repair not a cross ship, so going to be without a server. This board seems to have issues, would not recommend
