Driving in the Big Bend area means seeing a lot of critters - deer, javelina, burros, etc. - on the roads. With the whistles, you occasionally see deer backing off or turning around. I don't know how long they will last. Car washes break them off, and the whistles get clogged with dust so I replace mine regularly but it's worth it.

Read the directions, cleaned off the spot to stick the whistles on. Less than one week of putting them on, one of them fell off. Then a couple of weeks later the other one fell off. The adhesion tape is still stuck on the vehicle but the whistles are not. I can not say if they are a worth the money spent cause they fell off. Have you tried to whistle out the window doing 60MPH? It does not work.

I bought this for my best friends parents who live in a beautiful cottage in the upper Michigan area full-time... I go visit there in the summer to get away from the hustle and bustle of city life... When I travel there I have noticed the increased amount of deer on the side of the road and in accompanying fields... I've also seen deer jump out in the middle of the road to oncoming traffic... My friend's dad hit a deer a few years ago and is sorta paranoid now to drive at night (especially at dusk)... So I decided to get him these deer whistles (one for his truck and his wife's car)... He got them and put them on both vehicles and so far he says that he has not had any instances of any deer sightings so far... He reports that they work pretty well so far... I will update you on any changes positive or negative...

It's funny because this item is hard to review. It was fairly priced, arrived quickly and installed easily. Does it work? Well I haven't been hit by a deer so I guess that it's working. It does provide some inexpensive peace of mind because we have a lot of deer in NC.

I have uses these for several years, unfortunately I had not replaced them before we went on a trip, my husband is skeptical that they work. We travel through one area that is very populated with deer. We did hit one, hopefully not seriously as it ran off. From now on I always check them before the trip and have never had an issue so in my opinion they work. My only problem now is I have a Hyundai Santa Fe and they are to tall to fit in the grill are there any others that will fit these vehicles?

Didn't stay stuck to the car -- only one out of four is still there after a month --- I have to buy more of these as I commute through an area with heavy populations of deer.

One piece is cruked. The other one detached from car within a day. I do not recommend it
