We bought it to inflate our kayak and it works well and fast.

I bought a returned item that was labeled as "like-new" condition. I would say that was an accurate description of the item. Plus it saved me about 35% off the price of new which I very much liked. So I'm very happy with buying a "used" item. As for the pump itself, it works good but not great. I agree with the other commenters that the hose isn't very flexible which can cause the pump to disconnect from the kayak when using. That is the primary reason I give it only 4 stars. It is possible to hold the hose with one hand and pump with the other as the pump moves very easily. My kayak is only 3 psi so its not like trying to pump a bicycle tire to 100 psi, however, if you have a high psi yak or SUP I'm not sure if it would be as easy. So it works for my situation and I'm pleased with my purchase but improvements could be made.

For $40 you'd think this thing wouldn't have any flaws, given that it's comprised of several pieces of molded plastic. The pump itself is fine. The real issue is the hose and how it connects to the pump and the inflatable. The threading connecting the hose to the pump don't fit one-to-one, which you'll notice every time you try to connect them. They fit FINE, I suppose. The worst aspect is connecting the valve adapter(s) to the hose because both are made of hard plastic. There is nothing that makes the adapter want to stay connected to the house while you're pumping because there is no friction holding the adapter in place. I'm going to try duct taping them together because the only other thing you could possibly do is hold the two together by hand while pumping. How did this product go through phases of design and approval without anyone saying "should these pieces maybe stay together while the user is operating the pump?" Waste of money.

I use this in combination with a powered inflator. Effectively top off the final 1 psi to my inflatable yak

This is a nice and fast hand pump for your inflatables. Delivery was a little longer than I cared for but it arrived as claimed upon purchase. I can recommend this pump to anyone.
