Great little air cooler for the price.
Oregon is in the worst heat wave I have ever experienced. I'm 68 and I live near Portland. People here have never seen 114 degrees in June! We used to call it "Juneuary" because it was cold and wet until July 4th or later. When it was 114 outside it was 85 in whatever room the cooler and I were in. For the price and size of the unit that's pretty darn good. My only complaint is that one of it's casters was defective. One of the casters 2 wheels fell off and could not be reinstalled. It still rolls but the missing wheel makes it want to veer off. So I'm only giving it 4 stars. I sent a message to the vendor yesterday. If they send me a new caster I'll update it to 5 stars.TIP: Swamp coolers use evaporation of water to cool. Just like people evaporate sweat to cool. Swamp coolers work well in low to moderate humidity (60% or less). They do not work for squat in humid muggy climates. Oregon, Idaho, Arizona, you betcha! North Carolina, DC, Missouri, not a chance! If your sweat won't evaporate neither will a cooler.Well, they contacted me right away and promised to "give me happy service." Three weeks passed, nothing. I was starting to feel blown off. Then a package arrived from China with 2 new casters. These have brakes which the old ones did not. Now all was explained. They had to send to the factory for parts. This makes sense because the spindle is unusual, short, thick with splines. Amazon customer service tried to find one online but nobody makes them like this. So, I'm happy. The swamp cooler works as promised. It keeps me cool in whatever room I'm in (10° to 15°f. cooler than outdoors). Swamp coolers are not air conditioners. They cool with convection of water not R3. Not as efficient you say? Well duh! It's half the price and size of a cheap indoor AC (portable AC's start at $300+ and are good for 1 room. They also rely on chemical refrigerants that are not good for you at best) Anyway, I promised and they delivered. So 5 Stars it is.

Caution crystals in bottles dangerous
Caution the Crystals in bottles are not salt and are unsafe to eat or breath in lungs and we’re spilling out of bottles and that is why the 1 star , I also think if the crystals get in water going to pump might clog up and ruin the unit. I’m throwing plastic Crystal filled cheap bottles away carefully that came with unit, *Keep crystals away from food & drink pets children especially*. The provided wheels are stuck in the bottom back drawer in the very back of drawer. Unit super light. I only fill water to the unit from the top, I have used through the recent heatwave and worked well, I did not use any ice packs or ice. used unit in a bedroom and kept room cool, remote works well- but may also work on other appliances too so watch out * remote was changing my lightbulb to different colors on my lamp when I was setting settings on this unit . Glad I bought it so far though . This is my experience but may not be yours. Hope this helps.

Good Product
Overall a good product for small bedroom use. Its NOT an AC unit but cools like one. I love the humidifier function as it helps with airflow being asthmatic. The floor height is good too but I chose to place upon a small table(without roller wheels) since it has a "swing" vent function. The only issue I have is the inability to remove the water container. The water (gallon)does NOT dissipate to replace with fresh water. I had to lift the unit to empty out the old water. Now you definitely have to use COLD WATER & I even added ice cubes along with the 4 plastic freezer blocks that come with unit(**ordering an extra 4 would be wise as the blocks are small & make some small bags of ice cubes). I dont understand the need for the water in the top of the unit as it just sits there...um.Noise level is NOT annoying. Wish remote had "backlight" to see buttons at night. For the price & function I do recommend this product because you are getting 2 for 1 deal.****For use in child's room I highly recommend ADULT SUPERVISION***********Update...the freezer cooler packs that come with it ends up "splitting" down the sides...they expand or swell too...highly advise purchasing extra...

Fantastic portable swamp cooler air conditioner
Just got this product last night and opened it up to use it for the first time. Reading isn’t my forte, so instructions can be difficult if there isn’t a step by step guide to the process. In reading the instructions I thought I was supposed to fill the base bucket AND the top water tray. 😳😬 my mistake. Had some water leaking out the bottom. Not a huge deal. Just that part was not clear in the instructions. I measured the amount of water to pour in with my gallon water pitcher. I never filled my gallon pitcher up. The capacity said about a gallon on the bottom and 2/3’s on the top. I didn’t fill either one to it’s max... however add them together and I totally over filled them together apparently.Nothing a towel couldn’t fix. The fan kicked on when I got it plugged in and turn on. It was super quite! So pros to this product: great blower, quite, has a timer, an oscillator, and a remote.Cons: instructions (are super simple, yes. Could use a “start here/steps” 1-4 to get you started, as well as “these are all the parts to this product and what they do...”I would recommend this product for your space as a cooling aid. If it was you only cooler, it will help. But might not keep up. First impressions for me is that it’s like a portable swamp cooler. Difference is you can add ice to this one (where with most swamp coolers i don’t believe you can do that).
