Miracle Prayer: Nine Steps to Creating Prayers That Get Results

What I treasure most about this book is that it empowers the reader to take control of their life through surrender. Shumsky clearly outlines the steps for mastering a prayer form that will powerfully demonstrate God’s presence and loving kindness in the lives of all who reach out. As Shumsky points out, wording is key to successful prayer. This spiritual technology will give more results with a properly worded prayer than years of begging God will ever do. I find the Publisher’s Weekly Review to be a bit snarky, and honestly it’s obvious the writer never tried the technique or he/she wouldn’t be so skeptical. The prayer for Inner Peace alone is worth the price of the book...and much more.

Like all of Susan Shumsky's books, videos and audios, this book is thorough, detailed, and full of faith-affirming statements and ideas. She provides some history of the specific prayer method she's teaching here, placing it in a context of a century or more of American religious science practice. She states that this book is best used in context with her other teachings, and I agree. How To Hear The Voice Of God and Clear Inner Guidance were two of her programs that I felt built up some of the faith and belief necessary to get benefit from the specific prayers in this book.I've found that employing these "prayer treatments" for others is much more effective and rewarding than using them for myself. I suspect that's probably true of all such methods. Susan is the real deal, though: a dynamo of sure footed faith, someone whose work I'm confident in following.

I've done two prayers using the book and had results on both times. I am not a Christian, so just replaced the word God, with source energy and events still took a turn afterwards, for the greater good.

She calls it New Thought. not New age and mixes Bible/Christian with Scientific prayer. The prayer is like the Lord's prayer...not only asking..but thanking God and honoring God and only being positive and release it after say Amen (It shall be so) and know it will work if you have forgiven and are connected to God. It tells the history of spiritual ideas and gives great detail to the way to pray. It was good, but Florence Scovel Shinn and Excuse Me, Your Life is waiting by Lynn Grabhorn puts in an a simpler way, but this book seems more Christian.

Love this book and love listening to anything Dr. Susan says. The book outlines clearly what you have to do to create your prayers correctly to get them answered. I read it and then reread it often. It helps you to understand how to be direct and specific with prayer. Very helpful for those of us who want to pray and have our prayers answered.

It was a great read and made sense of how to pray. The author says it can be done in 5 minutes or less, that is after understanding all of the elements she suggests using in the prayers. It does take a while to digest and figure out exactly how to do a prayer like that. My one unanswered question was how often do you have to say the same prayer.

What a wonderful book. Just the "Prayer Treatments" alone are worth getting this book for. I like how it covers prayers for a variety of things people encounter in their daily lives like abundance, forgiveness, healing psychic bondage, overcoming addictions, finding the right romantic partner etc... . The prayers give me peace and relief.

I feel truly blessed to have found such a book as this. It has truly changed my life, I have used the prayer treatment technique to effect many miracles in my life, and on a daily basis, from small to large. I feel that everyday is a blessing and I live a charmed life. The teachings are based on the truth, as put forth by Jesus Christ and other divine people. This is not a book for fundamental, doctrinal, or religious Christians. But it is for the Christian or anyone who is seeking for the truth and a true working relationship with God ( the Divine). My whole attitude to life has changed and things that used to bother me (like grey overcast days in London), I am not depressed anymore. Things may not happen overnight though, you have to keep the prayer treatments until it manifests in your world as tangible reality. I have helped friends and family too. I have had physical healing as well as mental healing and my desires being met. One thing I have noticed is that it pays to be very specific or this will be reflected in the results.The book goes into the importance of what is in our subconscious mind and how it affects our prayers as well as how we word the prayer. It puts forth a nine step technique that always works to remove any subconscious blocks to your prayer in your own mind and gets awesome results. For instance; I know of some people having no results after reading books such as 'The Secret' (which I love), or after saying affirmations, prayers, meditation or visualisations and really feeling. These things all do really work but you may have to remove any subconcious blocks in your own mind and heart. If thats you then read Miracle Prayer and put what it says into practise, because one of the important things this book has is a technique of how to overcome any blocks. I noticed a pattern in my life so I decided to work on any blocks I had to abundance. I have been and I am so impressed because doing the things suggested in Miracle Prayer and praying in the way it Dr Susan suggests has powerfully changed my life and is still doing so. I am now studying this whole thing in depth, it has become a way of life. One of the best and most useful books I have ever bought so far. This has prompted me to write my first review. I was intrigued by this book and by a couple of messages left offering very positive feedback on its contents. I have been working on several prayer treatments for myself and others, doing these over the working week only and repeating them only once, rather than the two suggested times. My young son has suffered, on and off, with nausia for some time (over a year). This seemed to have become a nightly routine: go up to bed, get into bed and start to feel sick (if he wasn't already feeling this way before reaching his room). Since using a treatment for him the nausia reduced considerably within days and now I don't automatically assume I need to let him sleep with a jug just in case!! In fact, he has not complained of incessant feelings of nausia - apart from a couple of short-lived sessions - for over several weeks.I have also been using this for myself to aid the ability to tune to Source in order to identify and remove limiting beliefs. I have since been led to an amazing lady who has to-day begun to kick-start my healing process. I feel very empowered. I have no doubt that (by the circuitous route I was led to find her) this was enabled by the repetition of my daily prayer treatment to this end. My aim is to offer healing to others through the removal of such beliefs and I can now begin to see the light approaching. I would suggest that some treatments may need longer working due to their seeming complex nature, although I have no doubt that persistence will indeed bring results.The steps to the prayer treatments are made very clear and easy to follow. Indeed, there are many pre-written treatments in the book which can be used. An important part of the work is to highlight - through your own Higher Self - the beliefs that are presently limiting you in achieving your aim (this process is simplified and is very easy and natural to follow).Overall, I would highly recommend this book and it will be one that I keep for future use. I have no doubt that many of the other treatments I am presently working on will continue to furnish similar positive and beneficial results. A book I am so glad I 'found' and one I will not relinquish. (at times a small added note referring to other books ppl have found really good has led me on to greater things and so I openly recommend The Grace Outpouring by Ron Godwin as one of those very few amazing books that can be truly awe inspiring and life changing)

I found it too complicated to put into practice and literally expect miracles.

This is a wonderful, indispensable book about scientific prayer. It explains in detail the nine-step prayer method. I found it somewhat complicated, but if you take time to work with the method you will surely be rewarded. It is apparently extremely effective.Prayer wordings are suggested for many specific situations. One chapter contains three hundred powerful affirmations for specific results.This is a book that I feel I cannot be without. A book for everyone at at all spiritually inclined.
