Robust headlamp, can be really bright or like a glow worm
Metal construction with a simple button to switch on, off and adjust the light level.Capable of putting out a really bright light when you need to work with good illumination and turns down really low to give just enough light to get safely out of a tent without blinding everyone around you.Runs for a long time off a single AA battery so no messing around with chargers pr finding a power supply when you are in the wilderness (or back yard!)

Not that bright
I was hoping for a lot with this headtorch. Best feature is being able to dim it by just pressing the button in. Not that bright though even on full beam

Efficient, controllable and easily powered.
This headtorch ticks all the boxes for me:Constant current circuit - it maintains the same brightness level throughout the whole life of the battery before it runs out, rather than getting dimmer and dimmer.Adjustable light level - not just modes but you can pick the exact brightness you want.AA cell - easily found. Also, the AA cell is the most cost effective battery capacity wise.Moonlight mode - this is THE most important aspect for me. Having a mode that is perfectly adequate when your eyes are night adjusted is most important. A single cell could last a week, 24/7, on moonlight mode. Useful for checking on babies and children at night without waking them too.Thoroughly recommended.

It's small, lightweight, and (being made of metal) robust. Comfortable to wear with the supplied headband and not really that noticeable when you're wearing it. The dimming/brightening function is really useful - you can set it to just where you want. Using a 14500 battery it is very bright, with a wide spread of light. Very useful for close up jobs or camping. The moonlight mode is just about right, with enough light to see with (but not to disturb others), and covers a wide area so you can see what you're doing. Battery life is pretty good but, if you use a 14500, be aware that it maintains a constant light output and then suddenly cuts off when empty, leaving you in the dark; an AA would get gradually dimmer, giving you warning that it needs changing or recharging. Really not much wrong with it at all.
