RobinairLD3 Economy Refrigerant Leak Detector

I was skeptical after working in the automotive industry for many years and using older models of refrigerant sniffers. This thing works like a champ and is a life saver for tracking down small leaks. Just buy one, you'll see.

Sniffers tip is rather large for tight places. Seems to pick up small leaks fairly well, better than my other 2. Had to wrap compressor nose in plastic wrap over night to pick up shaft seal leak,but it did then verify my guess of a leak. I still like my black light better, but some places you can not see thus the sniffer is my last hope.

I have used the big brother to this detector and this one works exactly the same way, without the extra cost of the bells and whistles. The adjustable sensitivity is great to get you right to the source of the leak. I did have a little trouble setting the sensitivity at first, but I was just a little impatient with my button pushing. If you do a/c repair and diagnosis, this tool is a must.

No bells and whistles but have found several leaks on multiple vehicles. Very impressed
