It does allow for increased fan RPM (speed=CFM) compared to a standard USB port, and it provides a 120V source USB port for equipment not otherwise equipped with a USB port. Its has a 6.6v dc, 1000mA output, 25% higher (V) than standard USB at 5v dc; I have no way to measure if fan speed is increased proportionally by 25%, but the S7 pair does run faster on the HI setting. DO NOT use this with other USB based devices as damage could occur due to the higher output voltage!!

Hi i have two fans and don’t understand what needs to be done plug them both in simultaneously. do i need a splitter? do ai need two adapters?

It only has one USB port depending on what fans you have you may need two the fan I have has a male and female usb plug so I can run them in a series or you could geta splitter I have ac infinity multi fan s3 series model #AI-MPF120A hope this helps

I'm running 3 fans with it; 2 have hi/med/lo controllers. There is a USB connection for a 4th, not used. I don't know how much total voltage you could pull if you daisy-chained indefinitely.

AC Adapter gives it 25% more power to the fans!

These fans are of impeccable quality! The fit and finish and even the packaging are far above their price point. I would have easily paid double for what I received. I also bought the AC Adapter which gives it 25% more power. The fans are indeed super quiet and you do not hear them at all over the music/ audio at all. I am using them to cool my beautiful customized ReVox PR99 MKI Reel to Reel Tape Deck. Two fans sitting on top pulling the hot air out of the machine resting on the little rubber pads so nothing is vibrating with metal on metal. The On/Off 3-speed (Low, Medium & High) selector switch is inline with the power cable and dangles right behind the deck for easy access. You don't really even see the fans when tape is mounted and playing and even if you do see them it is okay because they are "cool" looking! Pun intended! Amazing quality for the price folks! They are working great in keeping the machine cool. I will be purchasing some more of them for my Tube Integrated Amplifier which uses eight KT-150 Power Tubes to keep it cool as well. Highly Recommended!

Very Cool: Efficient.

I like this power adapter. I run it for hours at a time and it never gets warm to the touch which indicates that it is efficient. I run two AC infinity 140mm fans from this one adapter. The only negative is that there should be a warning label on the side indicating that you should not plug a normal USB device into it as the output is 6.3V not a standard USB 5.0V. (I put a piece of tape on it with my own warning.)

Works as advertised

I did check the voltage output with a USB meter (Drok) and it is higher than a normal USB power brick so as they warn you quite clearly, be careful what you plug into this, you may fry other products.It is currently running 4 fans, they are doing a good job, I did notice a slight increase in fan speed using this compared to a regular USB power brick, so there is validity to the claim that this will improve the output of an AC Infinity fan, I just cannot measure the absolute wind velocity or cfm to show how much of an improvement. No big deal to me, they are all working exactly as designed & that is all I need.I gave 4 stars only because it is hard to really tell how much of an improvement I get. But this is a ROCK SOLID 4 stars as the produce is well made, the company is excellent with Customer Support and I am very happy with everything I have from them.I get no compensation for my reviews, I just like to offer real world experience after I have used the product for a while & not just after I open the box.

Best bonus attachment for compliant devices

I have Ac infinity all over my house, in my tv cabinet, under the game consoles, under my laptops, and routers, you name it and its always a good solution.But with this adapter that makes it so much better, instead of adding more fans, or being limited by the 5w generated by the USB port, i've seen the performance almost DOUBLE with this adapter for marginal noise level bump in the fans, i was shocked to see how much of a difference this actually makes.ADDITIONAL BONUS: this adapter will have warning and restrictions and rating s all over it, and mentions not to be used without its intended purposes, however i have a laptop cooling fan where the usb/fan specifications were compliant with this booster, and the laptop cooler FINALLY lived up to its hype of cooling my laptop down, it was like purchasing a brand new product, so i purchased 3 more of these for other projects!!!would recommend-Mr.J

Powers AC Infinity Fans wonderfully

Used the power supply to power a pair of AC Infinity 80mm fans. I did not want to tax my Dell laptop power any more than it had to and with redoing my desk decided that adding the upgrade power was a small cost with a good result. Fan speed is increased thus additional air flow, great for when I am playing newer games on this older laptop. One month of use so far and no worries. D
