Awesome introduction to a series.
This was great! A lot of book ones are too full of useless information trying to start the story. This book was not like that. It was a perfect mix getting to know the female main characters background and what kind of person she has been. Zasha is a fighter who has her life completely derailed by tragedy only to be thrown into a new unknown world of wolves and magic. I am excited to see what is going to happen next!

Facinating
Couldn't put it down and finished it under a day.Already pre-ordered the others and can't wait (which I really hate to do for books)

My kind of dark read
Nothing like I expected but, so much better! I love a good dark story and this one didn't disappoint. This was so different than what Lucia Wants writes. And I was hooked instantly. I totally love Zasha! She is so amazing! She's not a victim. She loves to get rid of the bad guys. I can already tell she will be a great addition to the Smoky Mountain Pack.

It’s alright
DNF at 84%. I just got mentally tired of it. There was so much repeating monologue. So much. Also, why were there so many POVs??? I didn’t know who was who. Why was the story told from the perspective of the bad guy. I skipped his chapters. Everybody and their freaking mother had a chapter. And when I finally stopped I looked to see what percentage I was at (guessing 30) and it was 84! Thought my eyes were gonna pop out my head. So in conclusion. Short, confusing book.

Surprising
I didn't expect to like this book as much as I did but I stayed up all night reading. It was an unexpected read. I never knew what to expect next. My only confusion was Gideon's age. He was never described so I thought he was younger but he was doing the job 32yrs. I hope it gets cleared up in the next book. I love Zasha and her name. All the names are different but I love them. I'm glad I don't have to wait for the next book.

Amazing
I loved it. So different from every shifter book I've read, in a good way. I can't wait to read the next book.

What Happened to Zasha?
In a kind of change but not, Lucia writes about wolf people. You've read books about changlings and this is another in that venue. Great book.Zasha is an innocent caught up in a people theft and inadvertently turned into a wolf. She is, however, a human fighter so as a wolf, she is no less. Her life depends on her fighting. What a mess!Once tossed into the ring though, Zasha doesn't really want to fight an injured wolf so her captors toss in another she wolf and expect 2 to die. These 2 wolves come from same pack and their pack has been looking for them. Although Zasha has has to fight the female wolf and has been injured, she has also injured that wolf. After some manuvering the 3 wolves are rescued by the pack and Zasha is part of that trio.As the story progresses we find that the 2 pack members were caputured and drugged, whilst Zasha was captured and turned to a wolf. Upon their return to their compound, they are all treated for their various injuries and subsequently revert back to their human form. Now it is time to begin to plot revenge but the pack alpha is missing and the story gets a lot more interesting. Sadly, we have to wait until Book 2.A page turner in a book it was difficult to put down. I guarantee you will love it from cover to cover.

Great suspense spoiled by poor effort at romance
I loved this book with its none stop action and drama. No long unnecessary descriptions. Then she started to try to work in a love match which for me didn't work. The narrative for this subject was juvenile. Might appeal to teenagers or maybe not. Nor did I like how the book ended. I was tempted to buy the sequel but on reading the the "look inside" bit on Amazon, I was put off by the poor ongoing attempt at romance. I felt the author was almost trying to bribe us to purchase the second book by leaving it with a cliff hanger. If the narrative was good enough, this would not be necessary and readers might be more impressed.

Good
I have to admit I couldn't put this book down but it was missing something. I did find it a little slow at times as well. But saying that I still liked it and I am going to read the next one now

Great read
An interesting twist on the werewolf/shifter trope. After being kidnapped off the street and forced, with dark magic, to become a wolf Sasha has to survive, but how?

Brilliant start!
Zasha is a formidable character who constantly surprises as she surpasses expectations in her fight against the men who kidnapped and abused her.

Great start to the series
‘Forged Wolf’ is book one in Lucia Ashta’s Smokey Mountain Pack series.Zasha has been training all her life to never become a victim. Growing up with her dad and her uncles. But after her dad passes she is distracted and is attacked by four guys, but one of them is different and she is kidnapped and changed forever.Such an expl*sive start to a series. If your looking for a gritty, sexy, and action packed paranormal shifter romance, then this is the book for you.Zasha is a kicka** heroine with a strong and independent will. She has literally been thrown into a world she downs know or understand but yet she quickly adapts whilst looking like a bada**.Quannah is a sexy hot alpha male that you are going to fall in love with instantly. He’s rough, gruff, bossy and possessive.A quick and enjoyable read, I couldn’t put it down. Loved every minute of it and can’t wait to see what happens with this series.
