Don't count on being able to lock this bag without modifying it. Its cheap plastic that could be turned with any key, (supposed to come with a set of plastic keys but mine didn't come with any for some reason) and you could just undo the belt straps to bypass the lock. The square back piece could be larger as it's about half the width that my current one is. Another burden to this product is that the mounting straps are a solid circle and i had to essentially pop the plastic clip apart to get the strap around the bars on my bike.. or you could cut the strap shorter and then it would be able to slip out of the locking clip. Overall, i really like the bags because of how easily you could separate it from the bike and walk it in your hotel or wherever. I also like the affordability of the bags and how they are a match set to put on your bike. Recommend buying mounting brackets instead of trusting to use the middle strap to rest on the bike.

After a while stitching for the hooks holding the bags to the bike will wear out. It is very important not to overload the bags.

LOVE this 4 piece set! Was concerned about them not being full, genuine leather initially; but they are beautiful! A perfect fit for my Honda Phantom/Shadow that really sets off matte black paint and chrome rivets around the air filter. The entire set looks factory made with the bike! Was not certain what I would do with the Sissy Bar pocket, since I don't have a Sissy Bar; strapped it to the seat handle behind me and it fits PERFECT as a mini trunk! I do not plan on carrying passengers with me, so it suits my needs exactly. The Heavy Duty Waterproof PVC material is great and holds up in all weather and looks better than most leather items after a rain or mud dousing. This set is an AWESOME buy and holds much more than I expected. Gallon of milk, 18 count carton of eggs, loaf of bread, two packages cheese, a pound of butter, several sacks of fruit, and a carton of granola just in the two large bags! Haha!! I can grocery shop on the bike now!!!

Gorgeous!!! Way beyond my expectations, especially for the price! Everybody who sees them, loves them! Tne bags I had on my bike were coming apart & my bike looks better with bags & I like to bring my camera, because I am a photographer. You can easily remove the bags to take with you into stores, etc. I sen't to get my inspection sticker on my bike & everyone would take a walk around the bike, checking her out & tell me what a sharp bike I have. That was worth what i paid, right there! Now the bags ARE NOT LEATHER. Dont expect them to last forever, but they are nicely made, and I am sure I will get way more out of them, than what I paid.

This is by Diana, and I love my saddlebags They arrived really quick, and they look awesome on my Honda Shadow Spirit 750. When I opened the package, and I was disappointed that there was no way of mounting these. I had thought about sending them back. My boyfriend had tried to put them on by under the seat method, and it didn't work because the seat would not go back down. I am so glad that it didn't work. I had some mounts on my bike already from having older saddlebags on. He had drilled holes in my new saddlebags, and mounted them on by using the hardware that was used on the other ones. I think these should already have the option of being able to be used as throw over or already prepped for mounting. These have a lot of room, and are perfect for my bike. I am one happy lady. I will add some photos.

The saddle bags themselves are great though I will need to trim the yoke slightly to keep the bags out of my passengers legs. They are bigger than expected. I need saddle bag supports though as I already got some tire rash on one bag. The tail bag and tool bag are well made but the mounting straps that come with are dicey. The strap ends had to be trimmed to clear the clips so that they could be installed. Also, the clips didn't hold an empty tool bag on a 20 minute commute. I'll end up replacing the straps with paracord or Velcro straps instead. Had that bag been full of tools I might have lost them on the highway. I removed the bad straps on the tail bag and just used the included "shoestrings" to tie it to my sissy bar. So far I've had to retie the strings 8 times in 2 days. I'll likely have to replace it was well.So, as long as your okay with finding a better way of mounting the smaller bags they are worth it. Also, make sure you buy supports.

First the “locks” are a laugh, they are quick release buckles with a strap buckle above, but the quick snaps are a plus. There are straps on the sissy bag that have no use as they are and broke when I moved them and tried to tighten. The hangers on the saddle bags are so loose the bags will hang 2” away from the bike. The bags are vinyl and have no ridgity and will stretch. I mounted them 3” above my pipes and with a 6pack the bag had sagged to within ½ ” of the pipes (with bag supports). Any weight completely distorts them.I had to zip tie the bag hangers close in, zip the bottoms to the supports, zip the sissy bag on. They look good empty and if you just need to carry a rain coat, or have bag hangers with a bottom support, go for them.

I'm very pleased with these bags! They fit perfectly with very little adjustment, and look great. They match my seat just like they were made for it. Nice and roomy, I can fit quite a bit in them. I deducted one star for the clips on the straps for the fork bag. Those clips don't fasten as tightly as I would like. I bought them for my 2003 Honda Shadow Sabre 1100, and just love them, aside from those strap clips. We'll see what time brings as far as durability.
