 I bought these as an addition to my new 10g tank. I already had one Marimo moss ball and thought some others would be nice to look at. I dropped these in when they arrived- they looked brown and dry and pretty sad, but I figured that was because they'd been shipped. About a week later, though, I started seeing little worms popping out of them. I wasn't irritated at first because it's a new tank, like I said, and I figured these worms would die off and add ammonium to help with the cycling. NOPE! Instead they proceeded to infest my "good" marimo ball, and now all of the moss I have is either dead or dying.PLEASE DO NOT BUY THIS IF YOU WANT MOSS IN YOUR TANK! It arrives dead and full of insect larvae that will eat your other plants. Buyer beware!I have included a picture and a video that I took of the little worms that live on the moss balls this seller provides. If anyone can help me with a species identification, I'd be very grateful.

I was a little hesitant to order after seeing some pictures of some Marimos that were brown in color, and even more reviews that stated they received a subpar product. I'm so glad that I didn't listen to them! I got four lovely healthy Luffy Balls. (I had also ordered some Java Moss from them that is beautiful and healthy.)I will say that they were quite dry, much more dry than when I ordered my nano Marimo from another reputable vendor on this site, but again, they were healthy and a beautiful green color and these are 100% real Marimo Moss balls.I wouldn't hesitate to order from this company. Exceeded my expectations. Came with 4 balls rather than 3, healthy green, and adequately-sized (after soaking under running water and slightly squeezing). This deal is so much better than Petsmart's $7 for 1 ball.

About a week ago I ordered a four pack of Marimo balls. Unfortunately they arrived with about a dozen unidentifiable small red worms in the bag. I contacted the seller, and was immediately shipped a free second set to replace the worm infested ones. I quarantined the first set and treated them for parasites as my local fish shop recommended. Two days later my new batch arrived. There was one of the worms on the inside, but it was dead. I quarantined and treated them just to be safe. Now I have 8 healthy 1.75"-2" marimos. I would have given a five stars, if not for the inconvenience of having to wait almost an extra week before getting to add them to my aquarium. There customer service was great, and the overall health of the marimos seemed good. Just be sure to check for any unwanted critters tagging along.

I was extremely unhappy with my first batch of this product. The balls were shedding and so I contacted the seller and asked them what was going on. They wrote back to me saying, "the ones we sent you weren't in the best of health - we will send you new ones no charge" So I got the new ones, put those in my tank and discarded the old ones. The new ones shed MORE than the old ones! The excess moss completely clogged up my fish tank's filter cartridge and I had to purchase a new one. I didn't see any improvement in my tank with these, and I plan to toss them because they're ruining my filter. Clearly this seller is selling unhealthy plants. NOT worth it.

These guys are so cool took a little too get them too sink haha but I followed the directions and they really look great in the tank

The day after the moss balls were delivered I recieved an email asking “Did you say WOW?”. I wanted to wait for a week or so to make sure the moss survived once placed in my fish tanks. Its been about 10 days now and the moss balls are still as healthy as the day they arrived. While one ball did “shed” a little it is still intact and healthy. I just took the small clumps that came off the moss ball out of the tank with a fishnet.To be honest I was surprised by a couple things, first the product was shipped in the dead of winter, local temperatures we in the single digits during the day, the moss balls were alive and well when delivered. I had checked with the vendor before ordering because I was concerned about the moss dying in the cold.Second, each and every one was a nice healthy vibrant green upon arrival. Some reviews I read said they recieved dead or dying product.Also I was impressed with the vendor’s eagerness to please. The first email inquiry concerning my satisfaction arrived the day after delivery.I would buy from and recommend this vendor and product.

Not Good. Not good at all.. 3 brown, 1 green.I got 1 perfect little mossball from the whole order and these photos in the listing can be quite deceiving. I try to be an educated and smart buyer by reading reviews and see the good and bad, but I unfortunately got some bad ones. For the price paid , I could have gotten 1 larger good moss by that I can pick in my local store. The sizes are too small and the ones that are no good ... are just bad. They are browning and not green . I gave it some time to see if I can prove myself wrong and let them recover, but it is a slow process .Originally 2 were not good and 1 was okay, but the one okay had gotten even worse. They just don't look green like the description shows.I am slightly disappointed that I ran the risk and gambled my money on these moss balls when I should've took my time to go to the store.Sorry, but I am not happy and would not recommend this item.
