Elected to go with this seller/product because it was an oem and the reviews were very positive. There are plenty of $5-$10 models on sale from both Amazon and Ebay but being cheap on my old iphone 6 i felt paying a bit more to try and prolong the life of my phone was well worth an extra $10. Ultimately i am trying to put off buying a totally new phone for about another year. In this case the gamble paid off as i vehemently researched how to install the product and was able to do so in about 30 mins. Happy to report back my phone is now charging as if it were brand new. no issues whatsoever with this product it works like a champ. Good job by the seller. Won't need another piece but i recommend anyone who needs this part replaced go with this item. Buyer beware though the actual installation of the part in the phone itself is very tedious and not simple at all so know what you are doing ahead of time.

If you’ve changed out your phone’s battery, you can do this. It’s pretty much just a step up from that. This kit is fantastic. Not only does the part work without a hitch, but they send you a bunch of tools necessary to do any type of work on your phone. If you’re planning on doing any other work on your phone in the future in addition to this, this kit is very much worth it.

I bought this product because the microphone was experiencing a crackly noise. Once I installed this part the noise left. The charge port and headphone jack have worked flawlessly. I am only giving this 4/5 because the microphone did have one episode of "cracking" during a phone call last week. Otherwise it has worked flawlessly. Nothing has gone wrong with my phone from putting this part in.Also when you open the phone you realize that the phone has its own square microphone piece that connects to this omni part. Therefore, you need to research if the actual microphone part is broken before buying this part. Therefore, the crackly noise I was experiencing could be due to my actual phone and not the part from omni.

Auxiliary port worked for about two weeks..now a month and half later my microphone is junk..I have repaired several charging ports with zero issues until I got this one..disappointing

I very impressed with the quality. I've purchased other brands and they had terrible qualities except this one was perfect. No issues with camera or speaker as others said they had. Phone works like new. Saved me a lot of money. Tools provided helped except weren't needed in my case. I would definitely recommend this kit. Better quality than I have received from eBay

Like many others my original charging post was having trouble connecting. I also viewed a couple of youtube videos for installation instructions. I also had a heck of a time getting the antenna wire connected during the install (but I consider that an Apple design flaw). But eventually everything went in pretty well. Unfortunately a few days later I found that the microphone didn't work well. People reported that I sounded far away, or was scratchy quiet. (I have to wonder if the microphone has to be pressed right up to the iphone body. This product comes as a flat piece. You need to do some minor bending for installation. (The one from Johncase has adhesive on the microphone - this one does not, but there's a hole next to the microphone without a corresponding peg on the iphone body) Maybe the microphone needs to be placed into an exact position, and I didn't get it there - and other installers did (by accident). I guess that's possible, if unlikely)I had to use my phone's 'speaker' mode to get people to understand what I was saying. (I don't know why a microphone would work in speaker mode and not regular mode - does speaker mode use a completely different microphone? I never could find out.)I solved the problem by buying another (lightning) connector from Directfix (for $3) That one works. (is there more than one company that makes these???? I have no idea - The two that I bought were basically identical.)

Charging port works great but reception has gone down noticeably. I used to get one bar in my house and now I usually have no service. Will probably look to replace again, soon.

Fantastic. Worked out as advertised and saved me from a costly repair. I did not realized it at the time and almost got simply the part without the tools. That would have been a huge mistake. The screws are very small and putting them back in... well you will be thankful the screwdrivers are also magnetic and you can use the tools in the future. My only comment is many claim you can simply pull up a utube video and change it out in 5 min. Maybe if you have performed this repair a few dozen times before. Leave your self some time so you don't crack your screen or damage a small wire and make the problem worse. Other than that - enjoy saving a bunch on this port repair by doing it yourself with this kit.
