NAXA Electronics NDL-257 7" Bluetooth DVD Boombox & TV

I enjoy this little boombox combo very much. Works great. I get around 30 channels on the tv. I dont have cable so I use a window mount digital antenna. I think its range is about 50 miles. Bluetooth is a nice extra. I have my alexa attach to it when i want better sound. The antenna that comes with this is useless to me. I need to be closer to signals. Everything works great so far. Only thing I am worried about is that the volume knob is a little loose. All in all this is a good deal. What would make this my dream player if it could play more media files like mp4 mkv etc video files. I would be willing to pay extra for that feature. :) I will also add that if your not plugging into cable you need a digital antenna. Unless your real close to the signal source you have to have your antenna outside or in a window. Digital signals dont go thru walls very well if at all. Also keep in mind that there is a little switch in back that enables you to shut off the video screen completely while still hearing whats being played. Great for listening to mp3s and cds without having the screen on. I think some of the bad reviews might be user error. Not the products fault.

I purchased this to use around the home. I placed this in my extra bedroom, on the foot of the bunkbed. I purchased an extra antenna to use with this, and tossed the one that came with it. I purchased UltraPro Stealth HD by ge.I connected the antenna and just tossed it on the top bunk of the bed, with no care of what direction it went. I scanned the tv for stations, and got 18. After doing this i found out that in my area I can get 19.I am able to pull stations that are 55 miles away. All of the stations i have with this tv are clear for the picture.I am 25 miles to one city and just about 60 to the other city. The city closest to I can not get the one station, no matter what antenna i use.I have not tried to use the battery with this, so I can not say how that works.The radio has been impressive for me, I can get stations that are over 100 miles away.One thing I can not do is use this with my fire stick, not a real breaker, just a small downer.I want another one and it this keeps working, will get another. I would recommend a different antenna with this boom box tv. It does come with a plug to use in the car, but will try that later on.The remote does not work the volume on this, and can be an issue for some.I knocked off one star for - not able to use the fire stick, and no volume control on remote.8/9/18 I want to add my power went out two nights ago, and I used this on batteries. This was great to be able to watch tv. The night was hot so I took this on my front porch to use. The tv worked great on batteries, and after the power came back on i placed the batteries in a baggie with the date and hours usage.I will keep updating this review as I go along. I want to see how long the batteries last with tv viewing.11/18/18 I have been able to use this with batteries. My power went out during the hot summer. I grabbed this and the antenna and went outside for some air. This worked great. I placed the antenna on the hook of my porch and say in the dark while the electric company fixed our pole.I think this is the best thing to have on hand when the lights go out, you can still watch tv with an external antenna. Just for the ability to catch the local news, this is a must have in my house.

Bluetooth, radio, DVD player, TV, and USB, all function flawlessly. I especially love the TV quality. I can receive more than 30 channels with its simple antenna (10 miles from Chicago) and 30 of them are stable and crispy clear both with video and audio. The volume and bass boost is near the best for this size or class of player but I guess it could not be good enough for teenage boys or to be used in an outdoor party.

The display on this item for TV and for DVD is excellent but I was so disappointed with the radio. It would not pick up any FM stations at all and the Am,there was so much static, no need to try to listen. I had purchased to have something battery operated to watch TV/DVD and hear radio on in case of loss of electricity. Since the display is so nice this is very disappointing. For the price you expect better than this. I am afraid that an exchange may be the same way.Update: August 11, 2020 Since my last review, I submitted a request to return or be refunded for the item because the DVD player I was so satisfied with stopped working. I should have read all the other reviews as some had a similar problem. The screen says there is no disc no matter what DVD I try and it will not load or play. The only thing I can use the item for now is the TV. I would say, save your money. I could have got a full size TV for what I payed for this little screen I can only watch TV on now.

i like it because of the compact design, it's alittle pricey, than a different one that I got, but it's safer.I

I received this item 8-1-2017 but it only worked barely 3 months with little use, due to manufacturer's internal mechanical failure with the CD/DVD part, which display kept on saying loading (forever) but would not load or play an inserted working CD or DVD; and it makes a strange mechanical sound. On 11-28-17 I returned it to Naxa Electronics via FED EX, costed me $33.00, (since they do not give RMA #), included a $25.00 return shipping check, which they cashed 2-8-18; typed letter and damaged electronic as per their instructions. Naxa received it 12-1-17 and did not returned it to me repaired yet as of 2/28/18 (3 months delayed). I called their poor Customer Service representatives a few times and they have not been able to inform me when they will ship it back to me working, and they would not give me a UPS tracking # yet. So I am very disappointed and aggravated with this Naxa electronic NDL-257 7" Bluetooth DVD/CD TV radio boombox that I bought from Amazon.com.

The unit features are awesome.I was skeptical at first after reading it's description so I decided to give it a try.Im amazed with its clarity in its audio and video sections.I strongly recommend this unit.

I like my little combo box but I'm having trouble getting channels. I'm not sure what it is but it could be the house that I live in that is blocking the signals.
