A good book but does have its downsides
I do like this book but I have marked it down.Pros.Words, notes tabs and chords are all there. So it should cover most people and give an incite into other areas of play. It’s clearly set out and for the most part is kept from turning the page, there are a couple of songs that you will have to do that. At the rear is a chord chart for reference.ConskAlthough it’s the savvy strummer songbook, there is nothing to indicate any strumming patterns or styleNo backing tracks to download or with the book which would have been a nice touchUnless you can read music and or know the tempo/rhythm of the piece then you might find it a bit tough unless you google or itune the song for inspiration.I like the songs which I do sort of know, I read music (as in what the notes are and I can pick up the style by this). I wanted a book for strumming but the title is misleading as it gives no references, so on that aspect it’s disappointing. It’s well laid out and has some good old tunes, some you will know and a few you won’t like most of these books.Would I recommend, yes despite the negatives it’s still a good song book as there are only a few jazz/swing books out there for a beginner to intermediate player
