Great Quality Coconut Oil
“I’m very happy with this Nutiva organic virgin coconut oil. It has a fresh, natural taste and a nice texture. I really like that it is cold-pressed, unrefined, and made from non-GMO coconuts. The quality feels excellent, and the 15-ounce jar is a convenient size. I would definitely buy this again and recommend it.”

Great taste (very mild).
I love this product. Will buy again. This is how I ingest it so far... 1) Eat a direct spoonfull (I tolerate it) 2) Add a spoonfull to my morning, hot oat brand cereal along with cinnamon and honey (I love it) 3) Add a table spoon of coconut oil to my morning tea. It looks like an oil slick in my tea but tastes good (I like it) 4) Spread a spoonfull on my waffle then add cinnamon and then drizzle some honey on top of that (I love it) 5) On a slice of bread. I microwave the bread for 8 seconds then spread coconut oil on it (I like it) 6) When I cook on top of the stove I cook with, what appears to be, a lower quality coconut oil purchased locally I will Google "ways to eat coconut oil" to ad more diversity to my current methods. I suggest others do the same. SIDE NOTE - Anyone over 35 should also consider adding Taurine (L-Taurine) to their daily supplements. My best guess would be people 35-44 years old take 500 - 1000 mg per day. 45 - 54 1000 - 2000 mg. 55 and up 2000 - 3000 mg per day. If you regularly and intensely work out add an additional 1000 mg just before your work out. Of course do your own research and consult with your doctor. At a minimum Google "Taurine" and read about this inexpensive yet absolutely amazing amino-acid supplement. Great for preventing muscle cramps and twitches. Also great for the heart and for the brain. You may wish to start with only taking 500 mg just before bedtime for a few days to see how you react to it then consider increasing the does to 1000mg (40 and over crowd). I take 1000 mg just before I go to bed and another 500 - 1000 mg midday (close to an empty stomach). I had no idea it would improve my overall mood too but it has after a few weeks. I initally took it with magnesium to help stop my foot cramps which it did the first day. People over 35 do yourself a favor and read about Taurine. Youngsters don't need to supplement much of anything. I am 48 but look 38 and feel 33. ALSO - consider taking 400 to 1000mg of potassium per day (RDA is approx 3500mg but you get some from food). I pop two tablets with each meal, one just before the gym, one when I go to bed (99mg per pill). AND Consider taking 200 - 400mg of magnesium. Any form EXCEPT magnesium oxide. Research shows only 4% of magnesium OXIDE is absorbed which is why it is the cheapest form on the market. I take 200mg just before bed along with 99mg potassium and 1000mg taurine. I take 133mg during the day normally just before I walk into the gym along with 99mg potassium and 1000 mg Taurine. Changed my life! Never had another cramp. I sleep and dream as deeply as I did in my 20s. My brain is as quick and as sharp as it has ever been.

Great Stuff for a Number of Things
I was almost put off using coconut oil entirely, after purchasing another brand (I think NOW was it, but different packaging). It came hard as a rock, yellow-looking and smelled pretty foul (almost sickly-sweet) - certainly nothing like coconut. I literally was chipping it out of the jar, and melting it was near impossible. Eventually, I realized that I was dealing with rancid oil, so it's pretty fortunate that I didn't use it all that often. Yuck. After watching a view Youtube videos for hair care, I noticed everyone's was white, creamy and you could easily scoop it out of the jar, so I decided to give it another shot and purchased Nutiva in February 2011. I'm so glad I did, too, because this stuff is great and for a number of things, some of which caught me off guard. - Cooking - I enjoy cooking with it now and then, especially with my quick-fix quesadillas when I don't have time to cook anything else. However, it doesn't work on everything due to the subtle yet nutty flavor it can give, but I do like it for frying. Your place will smell like coconut when you fry with it, as a warning. I do love how fast it heats up, though. - Hair - I originally intended to use this for hair and as a deep conditioning mask. I am biracial, with 3A/3b and a tinge of 3C hair. While I usually prefer to have it relaxed, I decided to give it a break due to lack of funds. The hard water we have here has been wreaking havoc on my hair and it's been in need of a trim for a while, but this stuff has greatly improved things, and it even can be used (lightly) to help tame frizz to some degree as a leave-in. My ringlets are back and the best-looking they've been since I can remember, and all I've been using since then is just Aphogee Green Tea spray, coconut oil and occasional argan oil. - Skin - I consistently use this on my body and at night as skin cream. For the face, you only need a tiny, tiny amount. It also helps to tame down blemishes, which is a bonus, and leaves skin glowy. Last year or the year before, I also developed what looked like flesh-colored moles, which I thought were blemishes at first, but I can't be certain. Nothing I did would get rid of them though, until I started using the oil, which I found odd, but at least it worked! All in all, my skin has dramatically improved using this, with the help of some other products, and I don't feel I have to wear foundation. - Pets - I give 1/2 tbls. to my cats and 1 tbls. to my dog a few times a week to help maintain their coats and keep their skin nice. It seems to be doing great and they've stopped driving me mental with scratching. I also tried it in hopes of helping my dog with her seizures. While it's not a drastic improvement, they have been fewer in between, which may or may not have a connection. I just mix it in their food maybe 2-3 days a week (ask your vet about how often, especially if they have health problems), and they love it. Even my female cat, who's picky about what she'll eat licks at the oil before she munches away. - Warts - Short of the suspicious-looking things on my face at one point, I don't get moles, warts, or even freckles. However, I did get one whopping wart on the top of my big toe last year, which nothing would get rid of. I tried apple cider vinegar, wart patches and gels - you name it; I tried it. Not only did it hurt like crazy and work slowly, but it never got rid of it. All I did get was a scar and a lot of grief, only for it to return a few weeks later. When I started using coconut oil on the skin, I realized one day, like with my face, that my wart that had grown back was getting smaller. I kept watching it and finally realized the connection. I started using bandaids and applied a glob of oil on the spot before bed and then really started noticing results. This wart was the size of a chick pea (sorry to be gross lol), but now you can't see anything. I finally looked things up and realized that it was the acid in the oil that attacks lipid-coated virus cells, such as what's associated with HPV (warts), so I guess it makes sense. I was surprised though! I can tell due to the texture of the skin that it's not 100% gone (roots), but it still getting better and I'm not embarrassed anymore. It took about a month, but the more painful options took just as long and this is pain-free. So, it's something to try! Love this stuff and can't stop raving about it. I'm going to purchase more soon in this size to keep one in my kitchen and one in my bathroom again, plus a larger one for the mutts. The bathroom one still has plenty in it, despite me using it near-daily.

High quality, great flavor, versatile use
Pros: - Noticeably better taste compared to regular coconut oil. - Cold-pressed, unrefined, and organic quality. - Very versatile—great for cooking, baking, and making granola. - Can also be used for hair and lip conditioning. - Useful for DIY oral care routines (e.g., oil pulling / whitening support). - A little goes a long way. Cons: - Slightly pricey compared to standard coconut oil options. Overall, this is a high-quality coconut oil that stands out in both taste and performance. It’s extremely versatile in the kitchen and for personal care uses, and the quality is immediately noticeable. The only drawback is the higher price, but the value is there given how many uses it has.

Nutiva Coconut Oil is Great But 1 gallon Price Is Often More Expensive Per Ounce
I am a huge fan of coconut oil and use it in everything. I love Nutiva coconut oil, it's excellent quality and not as expensive as some brands. It also doesn't have a very strong coconut flavor, although any unrefined coconut oil will have a mild coconut smell and flavor. Refined coconut oil has been chemically treated to remove the taste and smell. One thing to note: the price for a 1 gallon tub is normally the same or more expensive per ounce as a smaller size, so unless you're looking for the convenience of a larger size there's no reason to buy a full 1 gallon tub. As for the coconut oil, I've tried other brands and keep going back to Nutiva. I take it 3x a day and give it to my father, who has dementia, 3x per day (every 8 hours). I do 1 teaspoon, he takes a total of 8 tablespoons per day (4 in morning, 2 afternoon, 2 evening). Coconut oil is over 60% medium chain tryglicerides (MCT's), which are converted to ketones by the liver and used by the brain and heart as fuel. It's pure energy and most people can feel that energy kick in within 10 minutes of taking it. It's an incredible thing to witness the first time a dementia patient (or anyone with a brain disease) takes coconut oil, because it turns the brain back on. The first things I noticed with my father were he could focus more, whether on following a conversation, enjoying TV, talking, reading, etc., and then I noticed how much better he walks when he takes his coconut oil. The messages from the brain get through to the rest of the body, so muscle control is better. It's like flipping a light switch. Now my father has had dementia for years, coconut oil can only help so much in that situation, but any help is a plus. It's not a cure for dementia/Alzheimer's/MS/Parkinson's, etc. but it can make life more manageable. I have bought other brands and noticed my father's walking and attention decline. I go back to Nutiva and he improves, so there is definitely a difference in some brands. As for myself, I'm on a high fat, low carb diet. Coconut Oil helps me feel full and lose weight. Plus it's great for oil pulling, skin care, cooking, using in place of butter for some things if you prefer. I even make Fat Bombs with coconut oil. Great stuff. I've never been disappointed in Nutiva's coconut oil.

High quality
Nutiva Organic Virgin Coconut Oil has become a staple in our home. The quality is excellent, with a fresh coconut scent and clean taste that works well in cooking, baking, and smoothies. I appreciate that it’s organic, cold-pressed, and unrefined, so it retains its natural flavor and benefits. Beyond the kitchen, we’ve also used it as a moisturizer for skin and hair with great results. The consistency is smooth, melts easily, and the packaging keeps it fresh. It’s a versatile product that offers great value for the quality. I would definitely purchase it again and recommend it to anyone looking for a high-quality coconut oil.

80 Awesome ways to use Coconut Oil
Great product, fast ship. We use it in almost everything we cook, and here are 80 ways to use it. Personal Hygiene/Body: 1. Moisturizer – simply scoop some out of the jar and apply all over your body, including neck and face. 2. Eye cream – apply under the eyes to reduce puffiness, bags, and wrinkles. Use on the lids in the evening. 3. Pre-shave – coconut oil will prep skin for the pending damage caused by shaving. 4. Aftershave – coconut oil will help heal your skin after shaving without clogging pores. 5. Deodorant – coconut oil alone can be used as a deodorant, but even more effective in combination with cornstarch/arrowroot powder and baking soda! 6. Hair Conditioner/Deep Treatment - use as a leave in hair conditioner by applying a teaspoon of coconut oil to your ends and then running your fingers through your hair to distribute the rest! For a deeper treatment, rub in a tablespoon of coconut oil onto your dry scalp and gently work through to the ends. Put a shower cap on to prevent transfer onto bed linens and leave on overnight. 7. Hair Gel/Defrizzer – rub a little between your palms and either scrunch into hair (for curly hair) or finger comb in through from scalp to ends (for wavy/straight hair). 8. Toothpaste – there are numerous recipes out there but I just mix coconut oil and baking soda and dab a little of the mix on my toothbrush. 9. Make up remover – use a cotton swab and a dab of coconut oil and you would be amazed at how well it works! 10. Chapstick – just rub a little into lips and it not only acts as a softening agent but it also has an SPF of about 4 so you get a little protection! 11. Massage Oil – pretty simple; grab some and rub! 12. Lubricant – it is an all natural, perfectly safe personal lubricant. Not compatible with latex! 13. Sunscreen 14. Stretch Mark Cream – coconut oil is great at nourishing damaged skin. It may not be the magic stretch mark cure but it will help. 15. Nipple Cream – works great to nourish cracked, sore, or dry nipples. Apply to a cotton ball and leave on your nipples between feedings. 16. Diaper salve – very comforting on a rash bum with no harsh chemicals. Also safe for cloth diapers. 17. Cradle cap – having issues with dry skin on your baby’s scalp? Coconut oil will not only nourish your baby’s skin, it also helps eliminate cradle cap. Just rub a teaspoon onto scalp daily. 18. Body scrub – mix coconut oil and sugar together and rub all over! Rinse off and your skin will be super soft! You can add in essential oils if you would like a specific smell. 19. Healing - when applied on scrapes and cuts, coconut oil forms a thin, chemical layer which protects the wound from outside dust, bacteria and virus. Coconut oil speeds up the healing process of bruises by repairing damaged tissues. Plus, it smells a heck-of-a-lot better than anything from the pharmacy. 20. Bug Bites – when applied directly to a bug bite, coconut oil can stop the itching and burning sensation as well as hasten the healing process. 21. Skin problems – coconut oil relieves skin problems such as psoriasis, dermatitis, and eczema. 22. Swimmers Ear – mix garlic oil and coconut oil and put a few drops in affected ear for about 10 minutes. Do this 2-3 times a day and it usually works within one or two days. General Health and Wellness 23. Stress Relief - relieve mental fatigue by applying coconut oil to the head in a circular, massaging motion. The natural aroma of coconuts is extremely soothing thus helping to lower your stress level. 24. Digestion - the saturated fats in coconut oil have anti-bacterial properties that help control, parasites, and fungi that cause indigestion and other digestion related problems such as irritable bowel syndrome. The fat in coconut oil also aids in the absorption of vitamins, minerals and amino acids, making you healthier all around. 25. Fitness - coconut oil has been proven to stimulate your metabolism, improve thyroid function, and escalate energy levels, all of which help decrease your unwanted fat, while increasing muscle. 26. Nose bleeds - coconut oil can prevent nose bleeding that is caused by sensitivity to weather such as extreme hotness and extreme coldness. This condition happens when the nasal passages become dry because of cold or dry air resulting to burns and cracks in the mucus membranes so bleeding happens. To prevent this just put coconut oil in you nostrils. Coat your finger with coconut oil and then lie down and coat your finger inside your nose. Doing this will strengthen and protect the capillaries in the nasal passages. A Vitamin C supplement will also help prevent nose bleeding. 27. For breastfeeding moms, consuming 3 ½ tablespoons of coconut oil daily will enrich your milk supply. 28. Helps with weight loss & controlling cravings. 29. Well this was on facebook CBN News Coconut Oil Touted as Alzheimer's Remedy: Steve Newport's Alzheimer's has slowed considerably over the years. Some of his symptoms even reversed, thanks to the unlikely treatment prescribed by his wife, a physician. Dr. Newport became determined to help her husband after the severity of his disease was discovered through an Alzheimer's test in which the person being tested is asked to draw a picture of a clock. When she tried a new coconut oil regime, in only 3 weeks she began to reverse the signs of Alzheimer's. "He was not able to run. He was able to run again," she recalled. "He could not read for about a year and a half, but after two or three months he was able to read." "Instead of being very sluggish, not talking very much in the morning, he would come out in the morning with energy, talkative, and joking, and he could find his water and his utensils," Dr. Newport said. Great for topical use
Purchased to apply to skin. A great product. if you have tried other creams and moisturizer, this will not irritate you at all. It was recommended by my dermatologist for atopic dermatitis and felt and worked better than some prescription creams. Worth a try if you have very sensitive skin.

Nutritious nourishing essential good fat
The oil is of fresh stock. It tastes yummy. I have been using Nutiva coconut oil for years now. But this time I ordered this big 54 ounce jar. And I am going to continue to order this . I have one table spoon oil off the spoon four days a week. I temper or garnish south Indian style vegetables and gravy with this and tastes yummy. It is tasty nutritious, an essential source of good fat, antifungal anti bacterial . Love it.

Good & Reliable Quality Coconut Oil!
This is a very nice coconut oil. It does have a light coconut taste which might not be good for all uses but I quite enjoy it. When used as a substitute for butter/margarine it adds a very nice pleasant taste when paired with honey or my favourite jam on toast. I have had no issues with quality however I use it only as a cooking oil and not for any cosmetic uses. Just be aware the price fluctuates and it can sometimes be found cheaper locally!

Amazing Natural Coconut Oil for Skincare!
I absolutely love this coconut oil! It has a wonderful natural scent and feels amazing on my skin. The texture is rich and smooth, making it a pleasure to apply as part of my skincare routine. One of my favorite things about this product is its simplicity. I appreciate that it's organic, cold-pressed, and unrefined, without the need for a long list of added ingredients. For my personal skincare routine, I much prefer a simple product like this over products with complicated ingredient lists. The quality is excellent, and a little goes a long way. It's also versatile enough to have other uses around the house, which makes it even better value. Overall, I'm extremely happy with this purchase. If you're looking for a natural coconut oil that smells great and feels wonderful on your skin, I highly recommend giving this one a try. Definitely five stars from me!
