Replaced the charging port in my Galaxy S8+ that's 5+ years old now & considered a 'legacy' phone by at least 2 of my app providers BUT the most important one was able to provide me a workaround to fix a security incompatibility a year or so ago...LOL! The part fit 'like a glove' & is currently recharging my phone...my 'cautious headline' is because the excellent video I watched prior to even ordering this EMPHASIZED the patient bit over & over & well just suffice to say I've got a replacement back in my cart as we speak! I'll hold off a couple of days to see if there's any noticeable improvement in battery life & may just put a new battery in now I've got expertise in back removal down! ;))

I installed this in my S8 Plus and it works great, not I can charge the phone again with a USB-C cable (wireless charging wasn't working very well). My back case was all cracked already (its glass with a thin Mylar film glued to it), and now it's more cracked (ha ha), but at least it still covers the hole. I need to get a new back cover some day. A phone case covers the ugly part ;-)

I bought this to replace a loose port on my s8+, for ten bucks it was hard to beat. But after a few months it no longer supports charging the phone properly. I can plug in the cable 10 times and each time my charge time/rate will vary from 1 hour to 17 hours, or it just won't recognize a cable at all. I had to do some troubleshooting to verify that this part was the problem. Eventually replacing it solved the issue.

USB-c port arrived broken

My phone couldn't hold onto charging cables anymore before I installed this, which was fine since I have a wireless charger, but sucked for transferring files. Now I can do both without worry to squeeze a little more life out of this phone before pulling the trigger on a new phone.

Quality replacement part.

I bought this to remedy spotty usb charging on my Galaxy S8+. With this replacement installed, my phone would not charge or get a cell signal. The part number is identical to the original. I re-installed the original and both functions are restored, aside from the original spotty charging. Quite a bummer to spend half a day dealing with a faulty part.
