Mira Showers 2.1605.261 Switch Shower Head - Chrome

The shower works fine and the button on it to change the spray is very good. Added on 15/6/19; the button to change the spray worked well to start but has by now become defective and will not now work and change the spray pattern!!Added 6/6/20, this is the replacement for my original purchase as it had become defective. I am saddened to say that this second shower head has also become defective after some 4 months of use and it will no longer change the spray pattern. It is a great pity, as i did like the 3 spray patterns but as i am now only able to use 1 pattern it is becoming useless. I would not purchase one of these again as I would have no confidence in it.

Looks great and the different shower patterns are really nice. However after several months use we have had a recurring problem where the mechanism to flip the shower pattern stops working. Initially it stops working while the shower is running - so you have to turn the shower off then change the pattern then start it again - but it tends to progress with the shower head getting stuck on one pattern. I bought a couple of replacement ones but this time I phoned Mira and spoke to a really knowledgeable and helpful person. They said in a hard water area like ours the head should be soaked in vinegar possibly as often as every 2 weeks to keep the internal mechanism clear of scale. They have offered a replacement without any quibbles. So if you don't have hard water - this is perfect - if you do have hard water - some routine maintenance as above should keep it in good working order

When I first received this I loved it. But as time has gone on, only a few months, the button to change the setting of the spray has stopped working. For a pretty expensive shower head that’s quite rubbish. And from looking at the mechanics I can’t work out why it would stop. The button pushes, but no change. And I’m certainly not replacing a shower head every 3 months. It’s not fit fur purpose.

First one packed up switching between water flows. Replaced by Amazon and faulty part returned. Replacement now developed same fault. Many reviews saying same issue. Whilst Amazon replaced it’s a nightmare trying to find the page needed to return if it’s outside the 3 month return window. When it worked it was good, shame it’s doesn’t work longer than 6 months. Avoid this shower head unless you like frustrations!!!
