Easy install and delivers on function.
Installed easy enough and gives this machine increased capacity. Small quibble: Rack on fence has a slot through the riser block which is great, but the pinion gear no longer makes contact effectively making the adjustment knobs useless.

Worked well!
With this riser block, I was able to mortise 6" stock. I wish they had an extension for the holddown.

Good to have on hand but once installed you loose rack and pinion fence adjustment.
Great addition to the Powermatic 701 if you need extra height. I installed mine but uninstalled it. With the riser on the mortiser you can no longer use the rack and pinion adjustment for the fence. Going to keep mine on hand and only install it if and when I need extra height.

Long chisel and bits requires this kit
I was not sure that I needed this, but with my first use of the Mortiser due to the length of the chisel and bits I had to add it. Instructions to assemble were very good. Just be aware that the mortiser is heavy. Easy to make the change. Now I have the clearance I need. Very happy.
